Can you make landing pages with Klaviyo?

There is also a very underutilized feature in Shopify to turn your Order Confirmation page into a landing page for data collection. You can use the Klaviyo Embedded Form here. I've enabled and integrated and enabled my Klaviyo with my Shopify account but the code dosent appear.

Hey @LegacyOG at first I replied citing the Shopify 2.0 theme app embed process but upon looking closer at your comment I see that’s not the issue, since you’re already showing those toggle switch settings in your screenshot. What code are you missing? I can see the Klaviyo script it on your site https://legacystyleog.com, as shown below. You should be good to go. Are you trying to embed a form?

Trigger flow: Filled out form

Hi @robk123five can you send the link to the article? I’m wondering if thats a 3rd party integration trigger. I just confirmed in my Klaviyo account I don’t see the Filled out Form metric / trigger either, however what you can use is “Joined a List” as the trigger and have the form sync to a list.  You also can use the filter on that trigger of “Properties About Someone” and $source to choose a form that they filled out. See below. Does that help get you what you need for now? And please send the URL to the article you saw as well and I’ll take a closer look.

Combined Email Address and SMS Sign-Up Form

@LynnOnTheWeb to add briefly to the replies from Omar and Retention, the steps to create a 2-Step form are as follows: Create Signup Form » Choose Multi-Step Email & SMS as a template » And you will see at the top of the page the ability to navigate between the different steps of the form, ie: “Email Opt-In” is step 1, “SMS opt-in” is step 2, you have the ability to add additional steps, and then the “Success” is the step after the form is completed.

@robk123five thanks for the link and more info. Have you done at least one submission in that form yet? Klaviyo events / triggers / filters are created after at least one such event has taken place. I’m wondering if that can at least help you see the $source option and then we can go from there.

Webhooks for Custom integrations

Hi Mac, I realize its been a year+ now but wanted to make sure you saw that Klaviyo released what you’re asking for, I think. Its the ability to add a webhook event to a Flow - ie: trigger events in other applications when a flow is triggered. https://developers.klaviyo.com/en/docs/how_to_add_a_webhook_action_to_a_flow

Hi @amyrenegade good question. I see Katherine’s reply, but I’m not sure that would support a multi-use code. Katherine can you confirm? Amy, you’re looking for a code that the customer can share with their friends / followers, so it needs to support multiple uses. Is that correct?  If so I recommend using a tool like Gatsby for example which can generate multi-use Shopify codes on the fly, using the person’s IG handle as their coupon code, and then sync these codes to Klaviyo to distribute through flows. It also tracks every order and $ that is driven back to your store. For context I’m the founder of Gatsby, and I can help hands on with this use-case, or there are probably other solutions as well that can support generating multi-use codes too, although I’m not sure about which of them sync to Klaviyo. Hey @amyrenegade yea to your point I think your best bet is using a 3rd party integration since I’m 99% sure that Klaviyo doesn’t support multi-use codes out of the box. However with Gatsby, if it helps, you can do everything you’re asking for and you wouldn’t need to use their handle as their code, just an option.  You would be able to:Create the codes on the fly automatically Sync to Klaviyo so they are sent out via Klaviyo Flows  Track who has been issued which code and track every order and $ they drive back to your store

Update custom properties using typeform

Hi @Fly By Day - can you clarify what you mean by “send a new typeform out” - do you mean just drop the Typeform link into a Klaviyo email and send the email out to your customers? I think the only way to create custom properties for those Typeform fields in Klaviyo will be to do a first test submission of the form, and once that form submission syncs to Klaviyo, it generates the new custom properties automatically. Please let me know if I’m understanding your question properly though.

Turning a custom property into a first name property

Hi @worcestershiresauce good question - can I ask first, how do you know which contact belongs in which category? ie: how do you know if the person is a grandparent vs a teacher?

Make Automation - How to add to add user who filled out a jotform to a Klaviyo Segment

Hey @LaurelRoseArt if I understand correctly, you should be able to select the conditions for the segment once you fill out the Jotform the first time. You may need to fill out the Jotform with a sample submission for each possible answer so that those properties sync to Klaviyo and become available to then pick from the Segment filters. Does that make sense?

Hey @coffeeandbeige last I checked, Typeform offers a free version: https://www.typeform.com/pricing/ and low priced options. There is also a solid integration between Typeform and Klaviyo. Many of our Gatsby clients use it for a Gatsby + Typeform + Klaviyo use-case to collect more info on customers signing up for an ambassador program for example. https://www.typeform.com/connect/klaviyo/

How to utilize webhooks in your customer journey

Thanks everyone, this has been a great resource for clients, even when it was just in draft form. For real, every Klaviyo merchant should be familiar with this solution. It connects your Marketing Tech stack together.For example, we have a client right now integrating Gatsby with Rise.ai via a Klaviyo webhook flow. This means the merchant can issue Rise giftcards when their customers tag them on Instagram. Easy!Included in the artcile above is a full visual example with Poppy Barley and how he connected Gatsby to Swell via a Klaviyo webhook, ie: he's issuing Yotpo Loyalty / Swell points for Instagram mentions. Gatsby actually offers this as a native integration but he preferred this webhook solution, it's that good!
