Open Rate decline with new template. Why?

We recently changed our eDm template to a fresh, new design with a more structure layout & navigation bar. Since using this template, we have noticed a great decline in open rates. All parameters & settings have remained the same as the old template, yet I’m trying to troubleshoot why the open rate has dropped off so much. Click through rates have increase despite the open rate declining, so this would only suggest that the new template is doing it’s job. The only thing i have noticed so far as part of my troubleshooting exercise, is some images used a JFIF (compressed JPEG) format. I’ll make sure that these are now JPEG.One of our team members received the email in their junk folder with this message. NOTE: The send is the same as what we used on the old template.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can't add one of the CNAME records because A record already uses the host name

Hi everyone, I’m trying to verify a dedicated sending domain. I created the subdomain “email.website.com” In order to get the dedicated sending domain verified, I need to add a CNAME that uses “email” as the hostname. When I go to create this in the DNS manager, I get the error that an A record already exists using “email” as the host name, and that I may not mix CNAME records with other records for the same name.Has anyone else run into this problem before? If so, is there a way around it? I’m using cPanel and Hostgator Thanks!

Hello Team, does anyone know if it’s possible to integrate Linktr.ee with Klaviyo? I want to capture email addresses from my social channels using Linktr.ee but it only offers me MailChimp as an option for capturing emails.

How To Filter Profiles to Ensure Compliance and Deliverability

Hi everyone!I am new to the platform and our company have a list of approximately 30K contacts over years in business. We want to upgrade our plan and want to know if there is a tool to help filter out bad contacts before starting a campaign. We want to ensure deliverability and compliance as best as we could! I already emailed support and waiting for their response. What code is needed to be there in the order cancellation receipt???

Hi,I’m trying to setup a flow where we can email the customer once their order has been refunded.  I have integration setup with Shopify. My question is this What event tag to use that will pull the refund confirmation from Shopify? It is showing the wrong info in the email. What codes should be written to get the return invoice activated in this email. Right now it is showing the order receipt.If you guys can tell me the code for that I’ll be very happy and delighted. I am currently working on this for my client.I can’t figure this part out. PLEASE HELP!

Automatically adding CARE permission to profiles coming from Shopify

I’d like to be able to send CARE communications, which uses Legitimate Interest as opposed to consent, to my customers. In order to do so, I need to provide them with a way to unsubscribe from it (ideally in a separate way than Marketing). With previous CRM tool, I was able to have a CARE flag created for every orders and which was managed separately than the marketing flag. Is there a way to do this in Klaviyo?

FEATURE REQUEST: More OR options or ability to duplicate segment criteria

 Making a segment is incredibly tedious when not using something simple like a single product or category. I frequently need very niche segments (what Klaviyo is supposedly good at, right?) that drill down to very specific products. In this case, I'm making a segment of buyers of 12 different individual products. This should be simpler. SOLUTION: I should be able to add the OR at the NAME LEVEL in my example here not have to start over at the What someone has done level for each product.For each product, I'm having to select 1. what someone has done2. ordered product → 3. set dates4. where name → 5. equals → choose productWhy can't I simply add additional NAMES of products instead of starting over each time? Please adapt the segment creation tool to make it easier for those of us who want to use the complex segmentation of Klaviyo.ANOTHER SOLUTION: Give me a duplicate button so I can at least copy the last parameters and then adjust the one element I need to change.

Dynamic Variable Not Showing Product Title

Hi guys, I’m having an issue displaying a dynamic variable the right way.  The variable is {{ event.extra.Items.0.options.0.name }}In my dynamic table I’ve added the source as event.extra.times, and the alias as item. When I add item.options.name nothing happens. However, when I add item.options then I get the following: How do I get rid of those brackets?

Back in stock not working

I'm really interested in using the Shopify back in stock feature listed here: https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001895651-How-to-Install-Back-in-Stock-for-ShopifyHowever on my site it shows on every variant instead of just the sold out ones, and the submit button doesn't lead to anything. Is there a fix for this? I’ve had a look at different posts but couldn’t find a solution. I'm using showcase if that helps!Thank you!Edit: also the URL does change so I believe the variants are being recognised

How to customize the close button in signup forms

Is there a way to customize the close button graphic in the signup forms? It’s a very small (low-res) light gray PNG (not ADA compliant). It should really an SVG with customizable colors. I just hope I’m missing something.Thanks, -oo

Custom eCom: API problems

Hi,we are implemented an API for our custom ecommerce CMS. We started with the “Place Order” event, but are having some problems. The data goes through to Klaviyo, but comparing to Woocommerce integration, the structure and data display is pretty weird.See my examples here. Anyone knows whats the problem?

Added to cart metric failed installed

My shopify theme is Ella. The ID for my Add to cart button as below<input data-btn-addtocart="" type="submit" name="add" class="btn" id="product-add-to-cart" value="Add to Cart" data-form-id="#add-to-cart-form">The snippet i put on my product.liquid as below; but the metrics haven’t showed the Added to cart.  Can anyone pls tell me what is wrong? Automatic list update for specific shopify tags.

Is there a way to create a Klaviyo mail flow for specific tagged accounts on Shopify that gets updated automatically? Eg: I want to create a mail flow for my VIP customers on Shopify. But I would like that list to get synced to Klaviyo and be updated automatically as new VIP customers get added.

Zapier Double Optin Issue

Hey There, I have a question regarding the single/double optin option when using Zapier. I am trying to create an email list with purchasers of a product.My email list is set up as a Single Opt-In list, but Zapier recognizes the list as a double opt-in list and sends a confirmation email to the subscriber before adding them to the list.I have found that this is an issue for some Zaps pushing information to Klaviyo, but not for others, even if they are referring to the exact same list within Klaviyo.Has anyone else had this issue or know of a good solution to this?

Shopify Klaviyo integration Privacy issue

I have installed Klaviyo as an app in my shopify store. Due to various privacy legislations including GDPR I have integrated a cookie management banner. This software blocks all advertising tracking scripts such as Facebook & Google. By going through Inspect in Chrome, I can see that the advertising scripts are blocked. Klaviyo, however is running.These tools rely on the Shopify Customer Privacy API and it seems as if Klaviyo does not utilise this. In many countries including Germany, France, Italy and the UK, scripts may not run until consent is given. Has anyone stumbled upon this issue and is there a way to solve it without using Google-Tag manager (which then disables several Klaviyo tracking features).

Making Event Variable

I'm looking for the variable for when someone refunds an order or cancels an order, It will pull in the item name price and image of the item when someone views the email. Just how you would be able to see when someone views a product in an abandoned cart or a browse abandonment email. It's not a prebuilt transactional email flow that's in Klaviyo so I'd like to figure out how to build it from scratch. Please let me know if you have any info on this!

How Klaviyo Treats iOS Opens

After two years of coming to grips with Klaviyo I noticed something new today! Always exciting. This post/question is driven by the desire to be in a position where I can elegantly sift out sending emails to those that do not open over an extended period.Today, I realised that emails being viewed (at least in iPhone) are not registered as open, in Klaviyo, until the images are downloaded.So, this means that if a recipient’s phone is set to not “Load Remote Images” in the settings, like mine is, Klaviyo does not show that the article has been opened, even though it could have been fully read without downloading.  Once the images are downloaded, Klaviyo registers the openThere may be something in the Klaviyo resources but I haven’t spotted it, if there is. I don’t know if this is part of the iOS changes or not but, either way it is an issue because if I am sending follow ups to those that Did Not Open the first, some users are unnecessarily getting two emails. That would drive me crazy!S
