Can I choose the properties that fields default to when importing CSV?
We often import CSVs to our database with custom properties like ‘Order ref’ ‘Error’. When uploading these CSV files, these fields will very often auto default to the incorrect properties - see image belowIs there a way we can configure these properties to match up within Klaviyo so that they default to the correct types once uploaded in the future?
Is there a possibility to A/B test having double opt-in on vs. off for the same list/flow?
Hey Klaviyo community! First time posting here under this account. We’re testing some deliverability related things and one of the things we’d like to test asap is having the double opt-in option on vs. off. I don’t want to apply double opt-in settings to the whole list, but instead would like to A/B test it. I can’t find this capability on Klaviyo, but wondering if any of you have figured it out or you can think of an alternative way of achieving the same goal?
Trouble adding custom properties on profiles automatically using Wix.
Hi I hope everyone is doing good. I am having an issue automatically adding custom properties to profiles that join my mailing list.I am using a contact us form from Wix and I would like for whenever someone fills out the form they get added to a segment of the main list indicating that they filled out this form. I am using labels on Wix so that whenever someone fills out this form they have a specific label added to them. Whenever I open the csv file containing my mailing list from Wix it includes the label as a column with all the specific labels attached to the profile. However when someone fills out the form they get added as a profile on Klaviyo but under custom properties it doesn’t include the label I attached on it from Wix. It only includes on property which is Wix labels with the value . Is there a way where wix labels can be automatically updated that when they fill out that form they get the specific label from wix attached to their profile? Thank you for all your help I
Do I have to wait for a purchase for me to create a segment for an item?
Hi! I have shopify and Klaviyo connected and need assistance with segmentation. I am trying to send emails based on at least 2 categories or collections. Only 1 item from both collections appears when I select; placed order and then items. The only thought is the 1 item pops up because that is the only purchase i have had yet. I want to create a segment and automation for when people buy. Do I have to wait until at least 1 purchase is made or each item?
Contacts were synced, now they show as Not Accepting Marketing
We worked with a Klayvio rep to sync our Shopify and pull in our mailing list. Once that happened, there was an issue with some people getting a confirmation of subscription, even though they had been subscribed for months. We were told this was a glitch because of the double opt in/single opt in information between Shopify and Klayvio, and they apologized.Now that I’m in our account, it says we have 4,000 profiles and 2 suppressed profiles. When we exported from Mailchimp prior to syncing with Klayvio, we had a total of ~3600; about ~2400 subscribed, ~50 cleaned, ~100 unsubscribed, and the rest non-subscribed. I was told the reason why there were more in total is because Klayvio scrapes more data. That’s not the issue.The issue is that it seems very clear that the designation each profile has had in Mailchimp has not carried over. Our newsletter list is pulling in ~300, and it appears that thousands of people that were previously opted in now show an opt out. And even of the ones who
Can the number of items shown on the Lists & Segments page be changed?
Wondering if there’s some way to change the default number of items shown on the Lists & Segments page? Currently it’s stuck at 10.I have a lot of segments (and presently also a lot of lists while I’m tidying up the account I’m working on).I’m *constantly* having to click “Next” or “Page X”.There’s no indication of how many pages there are. And no links to jump to a specific page. It’s not the best UX I’m having here!I’m aware of the search, but that’s not always practical (e.g., I can’t always remember the segment names!). Having a full picture of the lists and/or segments in the account makes cut & paste and screenshots easier to do, which is helpful for my records and sometimes for reporting.And this is somewhat frustrating when I have a monitor in profile orientation, and could easily see all items on the screen at once, but only 10 items can be shown at a time.I’ve looked through the help, and searched here, but can’t find anything about whether it’s possible to change the
Segment not clearing
HiI have created a segment with unengaged profiles.I have downloaded and re uploaded the csv to the supressed profiles.However, I have two questions if anyone can help please?When I move these profiles to supressed. How do I empty the created segment, back to zero? The segment still has the profiles in it and I was sure they would return to zero after the upload. The idea for the unengaged segment is that, when profiles meet a condition they are added to this segment. I will then move them to the supressed profiles once a month. Is this how it works?Thanks
Separate Lists for Different Buttons (Shopify)
Hey all, Our site has two different subscription lists - one for Members and one general Newsletter. The Newsletter form is in the website footer while the Member signup is on its own page. I’d like to figure out how to separate the two so the subscribers go to their correct lists. Right now they’re all going to the Newsletter list which isn’t correct.Thanks!
Deleted accounts are recreated by virtue of delayed events
Howdy!We are having a horribly annoying issue when it comes to deleting accounts in compliance with GDPR requests. Requests to be deleted arrives to Zendesk, the support agent removes deletes the user from Klaviyo but then the user gets recreated because of delayed Zendesk events, like ticket resolution :/Is there anyway around this or does the Klaviyo profile have to be redeleted at a later point in time to assure that no delayed Zendesk events messes things up.
Automatically adding CARE permission to profiles coming from Shopify
I’d like to be able to send CARE communications, which uses Legitimate Interest as opposed to consent, to my customers. In order to do so, I need to provide them with a way to unsubscribe from it (ideally in a separate way than Marketing). With previous CRM tool, I was able to have a CARE flag created for every orders and which was managed separately than the marketing flag. Is there a way to do this in Klaviyo?
How you can avoid 2x opt-in email in the multi form?
Hey guys, We have a custom form on the website and collecting both email and SMS there. Our main goal - do 2x opt in for SMS but 1x single opt in for emails. Email is set to list A. This is a 1x opt in list.SMS is set to list B. This is a 2x opt in list. So when you optin to both, you'll still receive two 2x optin requests coming from the 2nd (SMS) list. And btw, the same way Klaviyo's multi-step form works. I am wondering if there's any way we can avoid sending the 2x optin email I this case as this is a bit too much when a customer receives 2 messages (one for email and another one for SMS) . So we want just send an SMS, especially given SMS 2x opt in P.S. If we use the same list for email and SMS, we need to set it as 2x optin and when somebody enters both fields, they'll still receive 2 messages. Thanks for any help!
Create a Segment based on WHEN a Shopify Tag was assigned?
Hello!This fall we migrated to a new website, and it was necessary for customers to re-activate their accounts with us. After they reactivated their accounts, we automatically applied the Shopify tag ‘accountenabled’ It would help me tremendously to be able to create segments for WHEN this tag was applied to a given group of folks. Have not had success figuring out how to do this-- or even if it’s possible. Very open to suggestion or clarifying questions. Many thanks!Becky

I am interested on your thoughts as to how various strategies could be applied to retargeting our email list on adwords. We could for example consider acart abandoner segment or perhaps not considering that the email flow should to the trick there only retarget customers who added high value / margin adandoners? only those who have never bought winback segment etc etc i would appreciate hearing what has worked for you? Hey Guys,Im struggling to create a segment for users who have abandoned their cart. Ive attached a screenshot to make things simpler.Essentially, I was able to create the segment with the first 4 users using the conditions you see below. For some reason I cannot figure out why the 5th entry is not being added to the segment. When I save it it only saves the first 4 entries. The conditions are exactly the same as the others, this user has started checked out on her profile so im really not sure why its not adding it. Any help would be great, thanks.
How do I limit the Subscribe Page only for Subscribers that are not in the list?
Hi Everyone! Newbie here. So I created a QR code which links to a subscribe page in Klaviyo. To make it simpler and easy for our target subscribers, I included an offer in the success page. Is there a way for us to limit the success page only for customers that have newly signed up? So if they signed up already, the coupon code won’t pop up? thank you!
Uploading customers with CSV file doesn't add to list
Hi, I accidentally deleted all of my profiles on Klaviyo so I’m manually uploading the contacts I have from my Shopify store. I created an audience list in Klaviyo, and exported all my email subscribers from Shopify into a CSV file. I seemed to uploaded the CSV file successfully, after amending any errors it highlighted to me, but the customers have not populated in the list. You can see in the screenshot it shows the contacts have been successfully added to my list, but there are 0 members in my list. The spreadsheet has 664 customers.
The challenge with owned media being dependent on paid media
I’m noticing that traffic has been significantly down due to the recent iOS14 changes for Facebook Ads. This of course makes a great case for Owned Media as Email & SMS are winning. However, the challenge in this is that email & sms list growth has always *partially* dependent on the success of a brand’s paid ads strategy (unless they were lucky enough to get traffic from organic social and other non-paid avenues). With Facebook Ads bringing less & less traffic in for brands, what are ways that “owned media” teams can help to further close the loop with list growth without having to be reliant on Facebook traffic? Contests & Sweeps are one way. Starting an open thread here on what other methods are out there.
