Point-of-Sale (POS) Emails

Hi Community! Super simple question - but can’t seem to find the answer. If an email is added at the POS, will they be added to the designated list in the Shopify/Klaviyo connection? Our client is hoping this is the case because they do ask “would you like to add you email to receive offers and updates?” Thanks!Chelsea

Shopify Subscriber Number Not Matching Klaviyo List

Hi,I am working with a client who uses Shopify and Klaviyo. Klaviyo has an inaccurate number of subscribers compared to Shopify’s list. I then realized that the list in Klaviyo was only double opt-in which I changed now to single opt-in. How can I get those additional subscribers that are in Shopify over to the Klaviyo email list? I’ve tried doing a reimport but that didn’t change the number. Any suggestions on how to do this? Also, is my assumption right that since my Shopify settings we’re on single opt-in and Klaviyo list was on double opt-in, Klaviyo was not taking those into account? Any help on this topic would be great! Thanks in advance!

Can you search profiles by organization?

Is it possible to search profiles by organization? I have a lot of wholesale accounts and don’t always have the email address or first name handy. But when I search for the business name, nothing shows up in the search results.

Shopify POS Vs Shopify Web Lists/Flow

We own a retail store and we use the same Shopify account to manage our retail store and online store. Is there a way to automatically separate lists based on if they came via POS vs online? We could add the customer at checkout on POS and capture their information. We have a pop up on our site that captures emails as well. Thank you

Can I send email campaigns to Marketing=False Profiles if they engage (open/click) on my flow which will trigger if they're Marketing=False profile?

Hi, I plan to set up a flow with 1 email for people who did not check the box for marketing in shopify checkout.So these would be profiles that have Marketing = False.I'm curious, if they click the email that my new flow would send, will they be considered an Engaged profile (e.g. will be included in my 90-Day Engaged segment for people who opened/clicked my email in the last 90 days)?Because that's my goal, to send email campaigns to Maketing=Flase profiles.Thanks for your help!

I lost half of the people when I added an extra definition...

I was creating a "customers" segment. For the first time, I just gave a "fulfilled order at least once over all time" and created the segment. I had around 4.5k people in it.The second time, I went to update the definition. I added an extra definition called "Person is not suppressed" to remove the suppressed people.Then I updated the segment.Shockingly, now I only have 2.5k people showing. Does that mean 2K of my customers are suppressed with email, or am I missing out on anything?Thanks in advance :)

Salesforce Lead Sync filter

We set up the integration with our Salesforce org and Klaviyo which works fine but it imports all our leads into Kalviyo. We don't want to import all our leads into Klaviyo.Is there a way to add a filter to limit which leads are imported? We would like to only import leads that are for a specific SF record type.

How do I add brackets or limitations to OR statements in Segment builder?

This is a segment I built: I only want to include leads who have engaged with our content - but because I am selecting people who opened an email “OR” clicked an SMS I am ending up with people who are Active Clients that have also clicked on an SMS.Is there a way to Bracket the AND/OR statements so I can do something like (Opened OR Clicked) AND not a Client?the way the OR statement is attached to the previous condition makes it look like it is connected and might be written like that - but it is not. PS.This is another use case where being able to edit the fields shown when looking at a segment list would be super helpful where I’d be able to see at a glance if the segment is including/excluding the right people without having to guess and hope that my random spot-checking individual records stumbles onto a key record indicating if Active clients are in the list or not.

Email Never Subscribed but Accept Marketing True

Hello, For a bit of background: I'm in the process of setting up / creating my Newsletter to send weekly emails to my customers.And I'm running into a problem.In the details of my customers' profiles: Some of them have the status "Email Never Subscribed" (Provided an email without opting for email marketing) but also the Custom property "Accepts Marketing" set to true.So I have two questions: What parameter should I rely on to send my newsletter to the right people?  And how can I define a segment that includes these customers?Thanks in advance for your help,Best regards,Loïs.

Klaviyo + Shopify profiles

Hello Klaviyo Community, I hope you’re having a great start to your week. I would appreciate some guidance on what the best way to do the following is.  I have a Shopify store and a Klaviyo account which I’ve synced. I can see that heaps of people have subscribed to my marketing via the Shopify checkout. However, with that heaps of people have also chosen not to subscribe.  On Klaviyo - the people who haven’t subscribed are active profiles.  Am I supposed to export the list of people from Shopify that haven’t consented to marketing and upload them to Klaviyo and suppress them or should I remove people who haven’t consented using flow filters on each flow I build or how do I ensure I only market profiles that have consented to marketing?  Looking forward to being guided by the best community in the world!  Warm regards,Rox

Same average order value for all engagement segments

Hi, I’m wondering if anyone can help me figure out a simple question i have regarding average order value. I’m conducting reports across our engagement segments - (30 days, 60 days, 90 days and 120 days) and i’m pulling out engagement reports from these segments. In all of these, the average order value is the same. To me, this doesn’t seem right. I would assume that the higher the engagement, the higher the order value, no? Can anyone tell me why this is?

Reviewing Lists & Segments: Questions

Hi. I am reviewing my lists and flows and as a beginner, it’s throwing up some questions. I wonder if someone can help please?I have created a segment ‘Unengaged had 10 emails’ This has given me a little more than 6000 people on itI want to remarket to these with a discount offer with those not replying being moved to a ‘To be surpessed’ list (For me to then add to the main surpressed list by upload)Would I be best creating a campaign for this and targetting the unengeaged list? and then maybe a flow ? But what would the flow look like?Feeling a bit dim :-)Thanks

How to update customer input errors eg @yaahhoo.com

I have noticed that a number of customers in our unengaged list have in fact enter their email incorrectly eg @gmai.com, @iclpyd.com, etc. Is there a method to find such mispellings other that perhaps exporting en masse and searching a spreadsheet for common mistakes.  ThanksSean

Contacts were synced, now they show as Not Accepting Marketing

We worked with a Klayvio rep to sync our Shopify and pull in our mailing list. Once that happened, there was an issue with some people getting a confirmation of subscription, even though they had been subscribed for months. We were told this was a glitch because of the double opt in/single opt in information between Shopify and Klayvio, and they apologized.Now that I’m in our account, it says we have 4,000 profiles and 2 suppressed profiles. When we exported from Mailchimp prior to syncing with Klayvio, we had a total of ~3600; about ~2400 subscribed, ~50 cleaned, ~100 unsubscribed, and the rest non-subscribed. I was told the reason why there were more in total is because Klayvio scrapes more data. That’s not the issue.The issue is that it seems very clear that the designation each profile has had in Mailchimp has not carried over. Our newsletter list is pulling in ~300, and it appears that thousands of people that were previously opted in now show an opt out. And even of the ones who

How can I reset my list's preference page?

Hello, I change my Preference page, trying to make it more on-brand. But the editing options are very poor. For example, I want the form to be black and the explanation text to be white. I can’t seem to enable that since I can’t modify the style of the text blocks. It is very annoying. Now, my page is a disaster, and I want to reset it to the default values. But that is impossible as well. Would anyone be able to help me?

Klaviyo doesn't segment based on Stripe products?

I got Klaviyo to automate emails to our customers. All our sales are on Stripe, but I’m finding that Klaviyo hardly syncs with Stripe at all, most importantly it doesn’t seem to be able to tell which product our customers purchased. Is this true? How do we segment email followup based on products from STRIPE.

How to manage, group and access custom properties?

Hey guys. Do you know how to access a page where I can manage my properties? Like, I can create a segment basead in a property but I cannot actually see my list of properties and create one there. Or even organize properties in folders, like ActiveCampaign or HubSpot. Do Klavyio has this feature?

Uploading customers with CSV file doesn't add to list

Hi, I accidentally deleted all of my profiles on Klaviyo so I’m manually uploading the contacts I have from my Shopify store. I created an audience list in Klaviyo, and exported all my email subscribers from Shopify into a CSV file. I seemed to uploaded the CSV file successfully, after amending any errors it highlighted to me, but the customers have not populated in the list. You can see in the screenshot it shows the contacts have been successfully added to my list, but there are 0 members in my list. The spreadsheet has 664 customers.

no marketing possible because no opt in

Hello,I would like to start with Klaviyo and have installed the app at Shopify for this purpose. Now all customer profiles are imported to klaviyo. Now I have the problem that I can't send anyone a marketing mail because Klaviyo incorrectly assumes the following for all customers: "Provided Email without opting in to email marketing". That's wrong. I used another newsletter program for this, which then caught up with the opting in subscription in retrospect. How can I change this in Klaviyo for all customers that I can send them marketing mails? Best regards Marcel :)
