Why aren't people getting my email after they sign up?

Hi! That sounds very odd, let’s see what’s happening there.  Could you send screenshots of what’s going? Specifically, the email they are getting that goes to spam?

Sale campaign using reply back

Hi Teddy,  Interesting use case. To get a better understanding, what is the reason you’d want to have the customer to jump through those hoops to get a discount code?  Regardless, I believe this is not possible because clicks, opens, and received email metrics are not available for selection to trigger a flow.  If you use a customer service software like Gorgias, you could create a rule to check it and send a response (but the discount code may have to be static). I’d recommend not going through the reply to get a discount code unless there was a strong use case.  In my experience, I haven’t seen much value in it (from a customer and brand standpoint).

Hey @bradygillian3963, similar to what @Akers Digital said, keeping it pretty clean and easy.  Depends on how wide your offering is too, but our focus is narrow and North America so it doesn't get too complicated.  Identifying a goal for your list will also help answer that question.  Ours is to nurture and stay top of mind of prospects and educate/provide market insights for customers. We don't push for the sale too hard, that will come from our direct outreach.

Problems with URL Coupon codes

@saintstar for the static code: BENVENUTO10 I just tried it on your site without the link at the checkout and it says the discount code is not an active one.  For the dynamic version, I believe the format needs to be like this: bonbonsdolcisardi.it/discount/{% coupon_code 'BENVENUTO10' %}

Hey @nambirajanks, what eCommerce platform are you using? Is the integration working? (ie. do you see data flowing from it).  Has there been a conversion event since starting with Klaviyo?

Using date property to show/hide block

Hey @NRBW welcome to the community! Very interesting use case! I like the way you’re thinking here.  I don’t know how to compare the dates, but @In the Inbox brings up a great point from the below thread of a similar question regarding email size.  It looks like you’ll have a lot of options/blocks and this may increase the email size to where it gets clipped.  Perhaps a better way would be to create segments based on those metrics and then create campaigns/flows for those segments (ie. Still pregnant, baby, toddler, etc..)

Klaviyo form to collect emails for virtual event sign up

Hi @amyrenegade, definitely! There’s a Klaviyo help article that goes step by step on how to do this. Here’s the link: https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026474752-Getting-started-with-signup-forms When creating the form, you’ll see an option to select the list where you want the subscriber to go to.  Hope this helps!

Collecting email from Shopify contact form

Hi @Stefano468 welcome to the community.  Based on this thread from another member with a similar question:   It sounds like you may need to get a developer for Klaviyo partner to build your own custom event.  You could use a workaround with a Klaviyo form. But I haven’t done this before, so maybe there’s another member here who could add more details. However, if it’s a regular eCommerce store, I would also add a disclaimer that submitting the contact form would also add them to your email list. If it’s not clear, you may see higher than normal unsubscribes (or even spam marks).  I know every brand I reach out to as a customer that I don’t necessarily want to be added to their newsletter list. Hope that helps a bit.

Looks great.  For the back in stock flow to work in Shopify, you’ll also need to add a code snippet in the theme.liquid file.  Here’s instructions on how to do that: https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001895651-Install-Back-in-Stock-in-for-Shopify Was that added and still not working?

Warming Platform Advice

Hi @cnwb, welcome to Klaviyo and the community! Great question about warming a new account.  Since you have engagement data from your previous ESP, you have some more leeway in the sending.   Did you see this help article about warming an account after migrating from MC? https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025945671-How-to-warm-your-sending-infrastructure#standard-guided-warming-process3 Importing the MC engagement data will be important. Based on that help article above, there’s 3 tactics you can use if that campaign email is going to be large during the warming phase (>10,000):Use smart send to divide up sends Use batch sending to divide up sends Take random samples of the engaged segmentIn your case, I think batch sending sounds like the best scenario.  As you continue to send, keep an eye on your engagement metrics. You don’t want to get hit with the Marked as Spam tag from your subscribers. Hope that helps!

Sending campaign to extra contacts

Congrats on your first campaign @Danika C :)  Let’s keep this post here, but would you be able to add how you solved this? Just in case someone else has the same question :) The way I would have done this (depending on how many people were left off - but let’s say it was a lot) is to create a segment of subscribers who received that email campaign you sent zero times:  Similar concept to a Non-Opener Segment mentioned here in a Klaviyo Help article:https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048341511-How-to-Create-a-Non-Opener-Segment

Hey @nambirajanks, agreed with Bobi here, double check your user level access.  Also, to be sure it’s not an account thing, would you be able to get the owner to go to this screen to see if the button is still not active (knowing that will help with troubleshooting) Also, please a send a screenshot of the top (just curious to see what’s there):

Hey @SeanMcC,  Agreed with @Jessica eCommerce Badassery here, zoom out to the collection level.  I like where your mind is going with the personalized site experience, but I’d recommend not to over-complicate/think this. From my experience the benefit won’t outweigh the effort in that deep of personalization to a retail site that sells a wide variety of brands (you’d then have to break out that many segments when creating campaigns and flows as well).

How do you unsubscribe a customer?

Adding the answer here just in case someone else sees this and has the same question :) This is from member @Julia.LiMarzi from her post on this topic:Manually suppressing a profile in Klaviyo is pretty simple. To manually unsubscribe someone from all emails sent by Klaviyo, navigate to Profiles > Suppressed Profiles > Add Email Address. Enter the email address and select Add Email Address. This method is what we’d recommend for suppressing a single profile at a time if, for example, a customer requested that you remove them from your list. If you are looking for more information on how to suppress multiple profiles at once for list cleaning, check out our article on how to identify and suppress unengaged profiles.

Adding 2 Discount Codes to A Link

Hey @SeanMcC How’d the test go? Shopify has recently added the ability to stack certain discount classes (below is a link with more info on what can be stacked).  But, as for a link that can apply both, I’m not sure if that’s possible yet (a quick google search turned up empty for me) https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/discounts/combining-discounts
