I have customers completing a typeform form - in this form one of the questions is do you consent to signing up to our emails - how can I create a process whereby these customers have their subscription status updated to subscribe them? I am aware at the moment I can still email these customers even though their subscription status is “never subscribed” And by manually adding them to a list - I can tick the box to change their subscription status - however I am looking for an automated process Thanks
We have 4 brick and mortar locations. Is there any way to automatically add people to each list that corresponds to each location? We are using shopify. I have tried Flow to tag customers automatically and Klaviyo pick up the data, that didn’t work all the time. Apart from that all I have been doing is downloading each list every now and then and uploading them to Klaviyo. But, downloading the data from Shopify is a very slow process. Thanks
Hello Klaviyo community! I want to seek answers about three things, all of which relates to emails. There are profiles that are tagged as ‘Subscribed’ but haven’t received any emails. Profiles that are tagged as ‘Never Subscribed’ but cannot receive emails. Profiles that are tagged as ‘Never Subscribed’ and can receive emails. I’ve made sure that our list has a single opt-in option but still these issues persist. I hope you can shed light to this puzzle.Thank you!
Hello, In the last month I’ve built an email list in Klaviyo from 0. This is for a local restaurant that only has menu’s on their website. There is no way to make a purchase, put something in a cart and abandon it, etc. All you can do on their website is view menus (cannot book online, cannot click to call, etc.). The only way for me to collect emails is through the opt in form. My understanding is that in order for these profiles to be getting to this account is by typing it in the opt in page? Yet I’m still getting about half the profiles that have the yellow icon that says, “Never Subscribed!” … I’ve already looked this up in the community and through klaviyo support, and the explanation is: when people interact with the site, but do not opt in (so they add to cart and abandon cart, etc.) you get these profiles from that. But on this restaurant’s site there is no cart. No shopping is possible. There is only one place to put your email and it is on the opt in page. The only other thin
Hello,I am using Klaviyo integration in Channelize via the API key. There is a form for people to add their email and join the list. With single opt-in everything works fine. But with double opt-in, users never receive the confirmation email and therefore are not added to the list. (And I have checked spams etc)Any hint of what to do to solve this?Thank you
I'm looking to add a conditional split to one of my flows. Essentially, we are sending 4 emails over 1 month. After 30 days they hit the conditional split. I'm looking to have anyone who has opened one of those 4 emails continue on the flow and anyone who has NOT opened one of those 4 emails to be split onto a separate branch. However, when I go to make the trigger, it is just a generic "Opened Email at least once in the last 30 days". There is a filter option, but when I select it and go to choose my property it says there are no items on this list. I found this article on segments where it's mentioned that you can build segments off who opened a specific email. However, I don't know how to do this. https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005061447-Introduction-to-Segments-in-Klaviyo#what-is-a-segment-1 Can you help?
I have a client who has a very successful landing page funnel. When someone starts checkout, there is an API call to add that profile to a list called “prospect list” although these profiles have not subscribed to email marketing. People on the prospect list will go through an abandoned checkout flow. What we’d like to determine is the value of subscribers who join the email list through the website and then buy, vs customers who place an order directly on the lander without subscribing to email. I’m struggling with the best way to collect this information accurately. I want to be able to let my site visitors choose their location/country from a drop-down list when they signup but at the minute I have to create a manual list and enter all 190+ countries as options. You have a drop-down list with country under “Phone”, couldn’t you just take that exact piece of code, remove the extension information, and use that as a drop-down list for “Country”? It would save a huge amount of time, especially as you cannot clone a Signup Form across different lists, meaning you have to enter the same 190+ countries every time you create a form for a new List.
Hi everyone! I’ve inherited this account from when I started at the company, and there are several different lists/segments with all different numbers that I’m not sure if they are relevant or not. Would anyone be willing to jump on a call with me to go over which ones are worth saving? Thanks so much
Hi to you all - new here :-)So sorry if this has been asked before:I’ve created a segment of profiles, which have shown interest in a certain product. Some of them are, however, unwanted in the segment…But I can’t figure how to remove them - that is ONLY from that segment? It would have been great if there was click boxes with an option: Remove from this segment. Thanks in advance
Hey klaviyo community,as some of you may know German regulatories are strict on online marketers here. Therefore to be able to send a Back in stock/ Back in order flow to the people who signed up for it, I must have their consent via double opt in mail before. The problem: Back in stock is a metric not a list and therefore no DOI can be triggered over the affiliation of a profile to a list.I would need something like this:Trigger: When someone Subscribed to back in StockIService Email: Send out Double Opt In Mail.IBack in Stock Delay: Wait until recipients item is back in stock AND recipients consented to marketing mail via DOIIBack in Stock: Email #1Can somehow help me with that? My logical thinking is not strong enough 😅
Hi, we have some auto generated segments in Klaviyo and wanted to add specific tags in Shopify if a customer email existed in a Klaviyo segment. Is there anyway to have this completly automated in which customer tags in Shopify are automatically added or removed based on if they enter or exit a segment in Klaviyo? As an example, if a customer exists in a Klaviyo segment named “VIP - Tier 2”, we would want to have tags automatically appear in Shopify in their customer profile of “VIP” and “VIP - Tier 2”. Is this at all possible without manually exporting a csv and importing it into Shopify?
Hello Community! :) I am currently trying to create a segment to collect the birthday of my customers. However, when I select the "properties about someone" option in dimension section, the Birthday option does not appear. Has this happened to anyone else? Do you know how to fix it? If not, do you know of another way to create this segment and collect the date of birth? Thank you for your help! :)Irene
Hello!I just watched all the videos on properites and am still confused. I understand how to enter a custom property but where are the default properties? For example if I want to enter a person’s gender do I need to create a custom property? It seems there would be a default for this. Thanks,,Lora
Dear Klaviyo community We have moved from Mailchimp to klaviyo and must have our existing subscribers moved to Klaviyo. In Mailchimp, we have an automation flow that invites people to trailer service. The flow consists of a series of 6 emails.1st welcome email (immediate delivery)2. three-month service (delivery: 11 weeks after previous mail)3rd annual service (delivery 36 weeks after previous mail)4th annual service (delivery 36 weeks after previous mail)5th annual service (delivery 36 weeks after previous mail)6th annual service (delivery 36 weeks after previous mail) The flow in Mailchimp has been on hiatus for a good 6 months. So is it somehow possible to move our existing subscribers so that the dates they have signed up for service follow them?
Hello,I'm trying to gain a deeper understanding of the customer journey on my website and through my ads using Klaviyo. Previously, we utilized HubSpot which allowed us to see activity related to Google and Facebook ads within each profile. Does Klaviyo offer a similar capability? If not natively, are there any integrations or tools that could achieve this?Gaining a comprehensive view of the complete journey is essential for us.Thank you!
We currently have a segment template we use lets call that our “mailable list”. I would like to build 2 new segments based on that segment. There would be randomly split into 75% and 25% but that 75 and 25 should remain the same. So if Joe smith gets placed in the 75% segment he would remain there throughout. But if they no longer meet the requirements of the original segment they would fall off like normal. And any new people that meet these requirements would go between both new segments keeping the 75-25 split. Is this even possible? If so how would i go about doing this split?
Does anyone know of a way to create a segment via API? Im trying to automate creating a segment to contain all profiles in the account. There is an endpoint to create a list through the API, but I cant find an endpoint to create a segment. The reason I ask here is because I have noticed that there there are API endpoints that exist but are not included in the documentation. Possibly because they have been deprecated. If anyone has any input here it would be much appreciated! Thanks!
Hi everyone, I would like to know whether there is a direct or indirect way to create a segment of a ordered product event where the filter is item price greater than [insert value]? When adding a filter to my condition, changing the equals condition seems impossible. The use case I try to achieve is to send an email to customers who once bought an item that costs at least a certain amount. Hopefully, someone has already been in the same case and found a workaround! Thanks in advance,
Hello, On my company’s website, it’s possible to order a sample of our product for free and on Shopify these sample requests show as orders.I want to set up a segment for repeat buyers, but I don’t know how I can exclude sample orders from being considered as orders and only count the clients who ordered real products. Even if I add the filter of order product value as greater than 1 + placed order is greater than 1, the segment will still count the sample orders as “real orders” and clients who just ordered a sample and another product will be considered as repeat buyers. How should I proceed? Thank you.
There are a few of these hardcoded qualifiers in the segment builder.I would love for it to be a selection box of equals, contains, starts with and other common options for filteringSimilarly, the ability to select multiple values in one section rather than adding multiple lines for each productname from a list. I had a similar issue with Date based fields. I can choose if the date was between 5 and 10 days AGO but I cannot select a segment with a date field that is in THE NEXT 5 to 10 days. I can select a group that is within the next 10 days, but there isn’t even an option to add an exclusion to say “not to include” people who are within the next 5 days to get me the segment I was after. I understand that these hardcoded limiters on the segment builders are not necessarily a quick fix, but is there maybe a way to build segments with raw SQL code to cover for these gaps in the system until the hardcoded limitations are expanded? Thank you,Don
Hello! I’m currently using Substack for my newsletter and I am very happy with it but of course it does not do hardly any segmentation. I’d like to keep a list on Klaviyo as well because I hope to open a Shopify store at some point and will use my list for that. I understand that on the free plan you have:Starting at 500 monthly email sendsDoes this mean that if I do not send any emails I can include unlimited contacts? Or does it mean I will need a paying plan once I reach 500 contacts even if I do not send anything out.Once I open my store in about a year I will be sending emails and will be happy to pay for a plan. The reason I am waiting is that I am writing a book which will not be out for several more months. I hope this is not too confusing. Thanks! Lora
