Hey everyone,I’m brand new to Klaviyo and have just added it to my store, which is due to launch this week. I already have 3000 people who’ve signed up on the shopify coming soon page to be notfiied about our launch, but I cannot seem to work out how to add those existing subscribers into a Klaviyo list. Can anyone help/advise?Thanks!Ben
Hello, I am trying to trigger a flow based on a customer shopify tag. Customers with this specific tag are not in a list or segment. Is there a way I can do this or do I need to add the customers with that tag in a specific list or segment? If so, can someone please explain how I can do this? Thank you
A list is a static collection of people’s email addresses and/or phone numbers grouped under an identifiable label. They contain anyone who has subscribed to the list and will only grow or shrink as people either subscribe or unsubscribe. As a general best practice, we recommend having a single main list that contains all of your active profiles who consented to receive marketing from your brand.Meanwhile, segments are defined by a set of conditions rather than a fixed list of people. A segment will grow as new people meet the conditions and shrink as people no longer meet them, updating automatically and in-real time. For more details, head to our article, The Difference Between Lists and Segments. You can use segments to level up your campaign strategy, trigger flows, target forms, sync with social media, or analyze your marketing performance. Need ideas for types of segments to build? Hi all,I’m currently creating a welcome series as a ‘we want to get to know you’ e-mail. This e-mail should either lead to the preferences page where they will add additional information (interests, etc.), but also their birthday.I know that a date field isn’t possible within the preferences page, so it got me wondering: How would I go about letting people who just subscribed to enter their birthdate? Would I send them to a sign-up form and would their e-mail already be pre-filled? To me this doesn’t make any sense as they’re already subscribed and will see another sign-up form right?Hoping to get some answers on this. Thanks in advance for your reply.Leon
Hi all, I’m getting Klaviyo set up. I have a discount code and some free downloads for people who opt-in to my newsletter (via Shopify). I’m wondering what is best - do a redirect to the store where I have the welcome page with their discount code and download links - or to have that as part of the welcome emails? Would they get the welcome email instantly so they could use the discount code? Maybe it’s best to do a redirect so they come back to the store to use the discount code? Thanks!
Hi, I’m trying to set up an option to opt-out of future campaigns (e.g. Mother’s Day). This guide below” is really helpful, but unless get these properties from a sign-up form (which would exclude existing customers), it looks like I have to create a landing page. Is there a way to get subscribers to opt-out of upcoming campaigns without having to direct them to a landing page? Thanks so much.
I have a list of around 300 custom properties we are using and I’d like to find a way to bulk upload them to a segment definition filter. Right now it seems like my only option is manually enter them as “OR” filters but this is very time consuming for so many properties. Surely there has to be an easier way to do this?
Hi there,Is there a way to e.g. access the segment of a visitor coming from an email in our CMS to personalise content?Initially I had thought of e.g. adding segment data as url parameters to links in Klaviyo emails, which we can then use in the CMS. Is it possible to access segments as template tokens in email design so visitors to our site arrive at parameterised URLs?Thanks,Matt
Hi,I want to be able to track the value of daily orders by segment. is this possible?I have integrated my Facebook advert to my Klaviyo account and have a lead ad running that offers 10% off first orders. I want to isolate everybody who filled out this lead ad form, was added to a list of new subscribers, and placed an order.I have put them into the same list and flow as organic subscribers to make sending emails easier. My problem is that I can run an engagement report on this segment - which is useful - but it summarises too much. It gives an avg. order value but I need to see accurate daily orders from this audience.TL;DR = how can I see daily revenue generated on a segment level?Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi! I have created a Segment where about 7,000 subscribers got in. I used this Segment to trigger my Newsletter flow. However, when emails were sent and I get to check the analytics, only 1,000+ emails were delivered. Can someone please tell me why it wasn’t delivered to all 7,000+ segment subscribers? This goes the same as the next emails on the flow. The Delivered number just keeps getting smaller and smaller. Here’s for the last email that is in that flow: Only 137 were delivered, 482 waiting to be delivered. I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. I already back-populated the flow. Will that help? All I want is for the 7,000 subscribers to receive all the emails I have prepared in the Newsletter flow. Someone help please! Thank you so much!
Hello,We have recently imported our DB from SendinBlue to Klavyio. While sending our first newsletter, we got around 30 postmaster emails to notice undelivered emails + 400 hard bounce. That is alot, we didn’t have that before in SendinBlue.I went into our DB to remove these, but the strange thing is that these 30 emails address (which generated postmaster) are UNKNOWN and IMPOSSIBLE to find in our DB.I therefore DONT UNDERSTAND how this is possible? Can somebody help me?
Hi there,We moved our Mailchimp account to Klaviyo and started the integration. It works perfectly, except about 50% of the subscribers (double opt-in) from Mailchimp are imported to Klaviyo with column “Accepts Marketing” = false. Did anybody have that problem before?Best Flo
Hi everyone, how to build a segment that filter the contains in a product name (ItemNames)? I heard that the availability of the contains definition depends on the format of the data that is being shared to Klaviyo, so how to check if data format of ItemNames surely is list data or text data? I have tried to segment as picture attached but it doesn’t work, no any results. Please advise, thank you so much!
I'm trying to create a pop-up form that will only show to new customers - not existing subscribers. However, when I change the setting to "Don't show to vistors in certain list or segment" and set it to my main list or “don’t show to existing klaviyo profiles” - it still shows the pop up to the people on the main list. I'm testing by going on the website myself because my email is also on the main list. How can i fix this? The point of this is to create different pop ups for new subscribers and existing customers. Please help!
Hi,Our store has a product “A”, which is getting 1000+ of purchases a month, but they usually do not return. So out of our 500 products, we want to single out customers who purchase product “A” by itself and only once for targeted flows. Example:Person bought product A once and only that specific product in any quantity. We do not want to include people who purchased other products together with it. Is this possible? Thanks :-)
Hello,I’m on Shopify, and have disabled their double opt in. I am using my theme’s newsletter sign up form. When testing email newsletter signs ups, I am getting 2 - 3 emails from Klaviyo. Strangely, from names aren’t all the same. You can see bdelow - they were sent at the same time. How can I ensure customers only receive 1 email?Thank you
Hi there,Just imported our Mailchimp list using the integration. However, the GDPR field we have in the Mailchimp audience doesn’t appear in the profile information at all. So I’m guessing it didn’t import with the rest of the audience data.I know that Mailchimp tags are not imported automatically, and that’s fine. However, I thought the integration would import the actual fields of the audience, especially something as important as a GDPR field. Any idea how I can include the field in the import? Now I’m wondering what else could be missing from the data? This is just one that I noticed. Thanks,-oo
Hi, this may seem like a dumb question. I’m aware that I can only see the top 50 active profiles. I currently have 276 and I would like to know the best way to see this list. I know I can export it and then import it but this is a static list only based on the export. I’d like a way to see the latest list at any time. How could I do this please?
HI all,I have just realized that when ever users create a new account, their account are added to email subscribers in shopify automatically and klaviyo are not syncing those list at all?my pop up and newsletter feature both works with no problems.I tried syncing, but my email subscribers just get stuck there.Any idea>?
Hello.I’m looking to send personalized products recommendations to subscribers using dynamic blocs. The product recommendations will be a JSON feed from another system.I was wondering if I could use a web feed with products per profile. Is there a specific structure that I should follow ?Or maybe there’s another way to import individual recommendations into a customer profile ? Thanks !
