Birthday-Property - Auto-Fill of year of birth when only asked for DD/MM

Hey Community / Klaviyo-Team, during the sign-up process we were asking our customers for their DD and MM of their birth. We weren’t planning on collecting the year of the customer, but have changed our mind since, yet the issue still stands, and maybe others experience it too: So, the following occurred, when only asking for DD and MM:When someone signs up the DD and MM of birth are created properly as a property. Yet, the year of birth seems to be automatically set to 2016. Making all our customers (at least in the database) minors which technically limits our legal possibilities to conduct business with them without the expressed consent of the parents or legal guardians. Does anyone else have the same issue? Is this something that happens on Klaviyo-side or did I miss a button or option during the creation of the form?If the automatic fill in of “2016” as birth year happens on Klaviyo side I’d suggest changing that, giving the customers at least the courtesy of adulthood ;) Kind re

Shopify POS Vs Shopify Web Lists/Flow

We own a retail store and we use the same Shopify account to manage our retail store and online store. Is there a way to automatically separate lists based on if they came via POS vs online? We could add the customer at checkout on POS and capture their information. We have a pop up on our site that captures emails as well. Thank you

How can I upload previous subscribers to a list already connected to a signup form?

We have created a sign-up form for anyone interested in becoming a wholesale dealer for our company. This sign-up form is found on our website. We have also reached out to a list of previous customers and they would like to join the wholesale dealer accounts. How do i put their info into that wholesale list that we already have? Also is there a way to blast that sign-up from via email with email address we already have that way they are also entered into that lis? I hope this makes sense.

My 'Winback' Segment Isn't Populating Correctly

Hi, I’ve today set up a ‘winback’ segment, but the list it is creating isn’t accurate:  It is creating a list of 6000 profiles, in which when I select the top profile from that list, it shows as that user actively receiving, opening and clicking the email in the past 24 hours:  Any idea on what I’m doing wrong? Many thanks

Getting error message when adding custom property. What am I doing wrong?

Hi there, I’m trying to add a button to my email so when the user clicks on it they are automatically added to a segment. I must be doing something wrong but can’t figure it out. The code I’m using is:{% update_property_link ‘newdesign_earlyaccess' 'true' 'https://mysite.com' %} I added the property to my own profile to create it. But I must be missing something. Can you help? I’m hoping to get this out in the next couple of hours but hitting a brick wall!

Can I build filters or segments based on timing between variables?

The current conversion Attribution model in Klaviyo is a bit broader than my companies “Last click contribution model”.So, I am looking at building a filter/custom report/segment to show only people who clicked on an email and placed an order within the next 3 days.the current filters of “clicked and email and made a purchase don’t seem to link to each other in a way I can edit - so people may be clicking on an email after their purchase, or making a purchase weeks after their last email engagement. I’d also like to see an average time between people receiving the email to when they open it, to how long before they click on it (do they click on their first view, or do they come back multiple times and re-engage with the same email day later)So, long story short, are we able to use ne variable as the criteria in the time range for another variable in a filter, list or segment? Thanks

Profiles v lists

Hello! I’m new to Klaviyo. Just looking at my account and I have 130 “profiles” but only 15 of those profiles are in my “lists”. As far as I can see, no one has unsubscribed as I am yet to send out a newsletter. Can anyone tell me if those 130 in the profiles can be brought in to a list, to then send a newsletter?I’ve tried searching for the answer but without any luck. Any help is appreciated! Thank you

Segment not clearing

HiI have created a segment with unengaged profiles.I have downloaded and re uploaded the csv to the supressed profiles.However, I have two questions if anyone can help please?When I move these profiles to supressed. How do I empty the created segment, back to zero? The segment still has the profiles in it and I was sure they would return to zero after the upload. The idea for the unengaged segment is that, when profiles meet a condition they are added to this segment. I will then move them to the supressed profiles once a month. Is this how it works?Thanks

no marketing possible because no opt in

Hello,I would like to start with Klaviyo and have installed the app at Shopify for this purpose. Now all customer profiles are imported to klaviyo. Now I have the problem that I can't send anyone a marketing mail because Klaviyo incorrectly assumes the following for all customers: "Provided Email without opting in to email marketing". That's wrong. I used another newsletter program for this, which then caught up with the opting in subscription in retrospect. How can I change this in Klaviyo for all customers that I can send them marketing mails? Best regards Marcel :)

Uploading customers with CSV file doesn't add to list

Hi, I accidentally deleted all of my profiles on Klaviyo so I’m manually uploading the contacts I have from my Shopify store. I created an audience list in Klaviyo, and exported all my email subscribers from Shopify into a CSV file. I seemed to uploaded the CSV file successfully, after amending any errors it highlighted to me, but the customers have not populated in the list. You can see in the screenshot it shows the contacts have been successfully added to my list, but there are 0 members in my list. The spreadsheet has 664 customers.

Create segment based on first purchase item

I would like to create a segment for customers whose first purchase contains a specific item. I want to follow up with these customers later (ie have a flow triggered when that first order is delivered) and also track analytics for this group to see if they turn into repeat customers at a different rate than average customers. Is that possible? I hope I am making sense! New to Klaviyo so trying to find the best way to make use of this tool!

E-Mail subscriber connect with profiles

Hello Klaviyo, I would like to finally start with Klaviyo. The customers from Shopify are already imported into Klaviyo. Now I want to create the email subscriber list. Are the customer profiles from Shopify automatically connected to the individual email contacts in my CSV list from another email sender after imported in Klaviyo? If not, what do I have to do then? Klaviyo doesn't segment based on Stripe products?

I got Klaviyo to automate emails to our customers. All our sales are on Stripe, but I’m finding that Klaviyo hardly syncs with Stripe at all, most importantly it doesn’t seem to be able to tell which product our customers purchased. Is this true? How do we segment email followup based on products from STRIPE.

Contacts were synced, now they show as Not Accepting Marketing

We worked with a Klayvio rep to sync our Shopify and pull in our mailing list. Once that happened, there was an issue with some people getting a confirmation of subscription, even though they had been subscribed for months. We were told this was a glitch because of the double opt in/single opt in information between Shopify and Klayvio, and they apologized.Now that I’m in our account, it says we have 4,000 profiles and 2 suppressed profiles. When we exported from Mailchimp prior to syncing with Klayvio, we had a total of ~3600; about ~2400 subscribed, ~50 cleaned, ~100 unsubscribed, and the rest non-subscribed. I was told the reason why there were more in total is because Klayvio scrapes more data. That’s not the issue.The issue is that it seems very clear that the designation each profile has had in Mailchimp has not carried over. Our newsletter list is pulling in ~300, and it appears that thousands of people that were previously opted in now show an opt out. And even of the ones who

Why is Klaviyo finding fewer profiles in my segment?

Hi, I have a quiz as part of my Welcome Series, and I’ve created conditional splits that send subscribers down different, personalised paths based on their results.As part of my Post Purchase flow, I’ve created segments of subscribers based on their result of the quiz. What I’m noticing, though, is that the segment has a smaller number of subscribers than those going through the different paths in my Welcome Series. Why is Klaviyo finding fewer subscribers for the quiz results in my segments than the subscribers that go through my conditional splits in the Welcome Series?

Trouble adding custom properties on profiles automatically using Wix.

Hi I hope everyone is doing good. I am having an issue automatically adding custom properties to profiles that join my mailing list.I am using a contact us form from Wix and I would like for whenever someone fills out the form they get added to a segment of the main list indicating that they filled out this form. I am using labels on Wix so that whenever someone fills out this form they have a specific label added to them. Whenever I open the csv file containing my mailing list from Wix it includes the label as a column with all the specific labels attached to the profile. However when someone fills out the form they get added as a profile on Klaviyo but under custom properties it doesn’t include the label I attached on it from Wix. It only includes on property which is Wix labels with the value []. Is there a way where wix labels can be automatically updated that when they fill out that form they get the specific label from wix attached to their profile? Thank you for all your help I

Missing lists and segments

I have an account I use for testing an integration we’re building with Klaviyo. I logged in today and all but 3 of my lists/segments are missing.  Anyone noticing this type of strange behavior in your dashboard? PS and FYI...we’re currently in beta if anyone wants to learn more and participate no charge.
