I love this new feature! It is one of the better Klaviyo updates lately that will hugely improve the strategy options for companies.As an agency we work with all different kinds of brands and create different types of strategies specially when it comes to increasing revenue for our clients.This specific feature would be of a great help! For all clients, but mainly the ones that don’t want to rely much on sales. It is providing a great incentive to the exactly right people.I would argue that this incentive is probably going to be even more powerful than the discounts because it targets exactly those people that are interested in specific products, and with right combination for the setup (Klaviyo provides a lot of options here which is great) this has potential to be a great addition to every strategy.Since it is a new feature we still don’t have enough data to support these believes but we will definitely be implementing it and following how it functions.The setup can provide several s

Deliverability score

@Joseph Morgan Keeping good deliverability score in Klaviyo is pretty simple since Klaviyo is actually telling you what they are tracking. Those 5 metrics that are being tracked are what your score depends on. So if you want to improve it and keep it better than what it is now you will need to improve those 5 metrics in your Klaviyo account.So keep the OR above 33%, CR above 1.2%, BR below 1%, Unsubscribes below 0.30% and Spam Complaints below 0.01%. One thing to mention here that is important is these are Klaviyo tracking metrics for deliverability and not inbox providers metrics. There isn’t big disconnect between the two but I just want to point out that inbox providers have their own metrics that are not public from which your deliverability in different inbox provider depends from. So it is possible to have good Klaviyo deliverability but on some inbox providers to have bad deliverability and the other way around. So your main goal should be to try to make sure that your general K

How to separate landing page and pop up form flow emails (both have different type of discount)

@Rossana First you can connect the 2 different opt in methods to 2 different lists, that would probably be the simplest way.Other way is to separate them with the custom property source. Depending on how they subscribed to your account they will have different source property. One should be the pop up form name and the other one not sure how people subscribe to your landing page but anyway it won’t be the pop up form source. So in your current setup with 2 different flows triggered by same list you can add flow filter property source equals “sign up form” (this will be called different depending on how you named the source for your sign up form) and then on the other flow for landing page say property source doesn’t equal that same property about the form.

Triggers Filters doesn't work

@Alinga I’m not sure if these are full product names or just part of a product name. Since you are using contain I assume they are just part of product names. And when setting up trigger splits the Type of the event is set to List by default but if you use just part of the name you need to change it to Text type.

@The Garden Market I can’t confirm exactly what may be the problem here because I haven’t directly looked into it but from what I can think there may be 2 different situations as a problem here..you are checking this in a wrong way and not actually seeing what people get as email but you are seeing what you had in checkout personally and that is why it is always the same or you have not set up a dynamic product block but you set up a static product block that is always showing the same problemAgain this are just possibilities since I don’t know exactly what is happening and what you are seeing on your end as a problem..

Klaviyo new pricing model

@jocelyn8 For now yes they can keep the plans from before for old Klaviyo accounts (created before April).This will eventually change in the future for old accounts to but for now the only thing that matters is number of sends per campaign and monthly number of sends. Total number of active profiles as condition for old Klaviyo accounts is still not enforced rule but will be some time in the future.

Embedded form submission DOES NOT equal people in segment?

@Chris-J I’m not entirely sure where are you looking for the numbers but what I assume is happening is that you are looking at form submission numbers on the Sign-up Forms page in Klaviyo and the problem is that there it is shown only last 30 days of submission usually not the total form submission. To see total form submissions you need to open the form and adjust the date range that the form is live in..

Deleting contacts for specific time frame

@MariaZOLDI This Klaviyo Article gives pretty detailed explanation on how to delete profiles from an account.https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/24312135764251#h_01HT5F82SYT68E2X2Z68DC78RRIn short you need a list or a segment and then through your account setting you can go to delete those people from the specific list/segment. Just a note not sure if you know the difference between suppressing and deleting so read the whole article to decide what is the right decision for you in this specific case. Maybe just suppression would be enough. This was you will still keep the profiles info in the account but you just wont be able to email them, if you delete them then all the data connected to those profiles will be removed from your account.

sign-up form multiple time submit in same email but email not show in multiple times for the list why

@Adnan564What you are describing if this was possible this would be duplicating same profiles so because of that reason this is not an option in Klaviyo. Once an email is added to a list that is it for that list, same email can’t be added to the same list again.If you need for some reason each different sign up to trigger a flow or something then I would advise setting up different lists for the different pages on your form.. or if you have different forms same thing, make sure you are signing up people to different lists other way if a person that signs up to a form tied to a list that this person is already in then nothing special will happen to that profile..

@Konic Group I’m not sure what the purpose of this would be.. what is the difference between you just uploading a list or doing what you said, adding them through sign up form?At the end what matters is if these people are actually interested in your brand.. your deliverability will depend on the open rates, spam and unsubscribe rates. It doesn’t matter much how you add people but how they respond to your emails.So in my opinion this is just unnecessary waste of time for you because how people were added at the end won’t help you with anything important...

Sharp Dropoff in Open Rates after switching to Branded Sender

@SLCKRtyler first check to make sure your domain is not blacklisted then check that you set up the dns records for branded domain correctly make sure your DMARC record is also set properly in the emails with lower OR check the deliverability tab to see if all or only specific inbox providers have bad OR when setting the branded domain if your from email is from the same domain that you were sending before you don’t need a lot of warm up but if you changed your domain for the from email you should have warm up the account this should not take long.. maybe 1 or 2 campaigns and should be good if you have bad deliverability on all inbox providers start fixing it but only emailing the most engaged (30 days opens, or even better 30 days clicks only) if you have bad deliverability on specific inbox providers single them out and you can send to the usual segments for other but for this inbox provider create a specific most engaged segment again best option is 30 days clicks for it..

How to exclude collection from coupon codes?

I already answered to Vesna in another place but just to repeat it here so other people may benefit for this answer to.In Klaviyo we can’t do this but there is pretty simple solution through Shopify. If you go to Shopify collections and create collection with definition of having all products except the collection you don’t want discounted, then you can go in Klaviyo and simply use that one collection that has all the products except the products in the collection that you don’t want discounted.

Deliverability or Open Rate issues

@Leboy83 I would say first you need to figure out what exactly is the problem, so go check the the emails and see if they have problem with certain inbox provider or all of them..So go to the email, in Deliverability tab look into the Performance by inbox provider box.. there you will see if the deliverability dropped only for some inbox providers or all of them.Then work accordingly on fixing what is needed (all or specific inbox providers)As for what may be the reason, in February as you know the rules changed for gmail and yahoo, so if that is the problem from the find above then I would suggest checking again if you set up everything properly.Also what I’ve seen people have as a problem is from email in the past they were using with different domain, and now when they branded their domain and changed the from domain they needed first to warm the account when starting to send for the first time with new from email from a domain that was never used in the past.Also checking if your d

@Myze-Life Here is article about klaviyo cookies and how they work https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034666712But in short from what I know (if something hasn’t changed lately) Klaviyo cookies work in a way where people will be cookied only if they interact with any klaviyo email or any klaviyo sign up form (static or pop up).So only people interested in email marketing that do something related to email marketing and being added to klaviyo will be cookied which mean probably this shouldn't be a problem with the cookie laws but honestly I’m not much familiar with those laws with Spain. The logic would say if people leave their email they are interested in a brand and want to be tracked for the emailing marketing purposes but I don’t know if that is ok according to the Spain cookies law.random visitors on your website who don’t interact with klaviyo forms or email or never bought from your website will not be cookied just because they are visiting your website.

Segment by tags coming up empty

@Elaine_smith This is a bit hard question to answer without being able to look into the account in both shopify and klaviyo to make sure what you set up is working properly but one thing that I can suggest checking is to know if the data is actually coming to klaviyo go to the metrics and find the order product metric and then in the activity feed click on the down arrow for any user to see what tags are coming in for that metric.Also other things that I would suggest checking that may be happening is try using maybe placed order metric instead of ordered product.. or you can even try just to be sure that maybe those tags are not coming as shopify tags (in the segment pick property about someone shopify tag and see if there are the tags you looking for)Again it may not be any of these but you need to check multiple things to be able to find where the disconnect is and its hard to give direct guidance without looking into this..

Mailchimp not importing signup date data

@snoogs I don’t know how Klaviyo looks at consent timestamp at the end but I think that is property more for legal purposes than for use in email marketing.. in klaviyo you are adding profiles now so because of that the day when you add them is the date when they will be considered as created profiles in Klaviyo. But if you want to use that date for segmentation or something similar in the future, if consent timestamp is not available option for choosing you can add those date in a new property and use that one for segmentation..

@snoogs Yeah Klaviyo is a bit specific when uploading lists with dates.. so you will have to format it in one of the acceptable formats and then upload as date property in klaviyo (not a list that is usually basic for new properties when uploading)Here is article explaining what are the acceptable date formats https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005253428The main issue is for me at least most of the times i have dates with dots for example 03.23.2024 but klaviyo doesn’t accepts it with dots so it has to be for example 03-23-2024 or 03/23/2024

List Bombing Help!

@Beautybym So there are 3 things that I can suggest of which you already did one..Double opt-in (you said you already did this) Second option is to add captcha to your sign up forms (this may require a developer) Segmentations and filters in Klaviyo.. the only problem for this is you can maybe do it only after it happens. So fi you notice for example many accounts as you say with firs name and last name that are same rease rease. So once you find a pattern in the potential spam emails you can create exclusion segment for the campaigns (and even better if you suppressed them not just exclude them) And then you can add flow filter to be safe for the flows Both the segment and the flow filters in this specific case would be first name is rease AND last name is rease, or examples we had in the past we notice that many spam emails are coming from same domain so then the definition in that case would be properties about someone email contains @thatdomain.com

@kmcdermott well this is great then! that is a bit of a problem when there is no clear definition for this so it is a big subject of opinion on the person who is reviewing it I guess, specially in situations like this when it can be viewed both ways

@kmcdermott I’m not sure why it is important to you this to be transactional? Just send it as marketing email.. it doesn’t make much difference at the end for people who receive it for them it is just another email..

@kmcdermott Well actually you are looking the wrong way here.. you are saying there is no marketing in this email so this email is transactional but it actually doesn’t go this way.Transactional emails are specific and there is strict things that are allowed and not allowed in them. The point of view is, is this email transactional and meeting the rules if not then it is marketing.And what is transactional email? Just providing info to the customers about what they bought or if it is a shipment just providing a link and info about their shipment.The problem in your situation is even though you are not marketing anything you are also not meeting the basic rules of transactional emails of just providing info about the order because you are linking 2 things that provide and ask for more information. Because of it this email is not transactional and by definition if it is not transactional it is marketing even though you are not having any marketing content in it.Transactional email would

How can I get more detailed analytics on my campaigns and flows?

@IgotchuSeasonings what you are explaining there is no way for that thing to happen because Klaviyo doesn’t attribute revenue to the first email you open but to the last one. So if the revenue is attributed to that campaign that means that people bought after opening or clicking that campaign last. If what you saying happened, they open that email and later opened another email with discount and bought then, the revenue would have been attributed to the other email with the discount and not this one.
