Why is there a discrepency in btw my opened email metric & number of downloads?

Hello everyone,I am somewhat new to Klaviyo, after hiring an agency and having them really drop the ball I’ve realized it’s just better to learn everything and run it in house haha.I am still warming up my account and I’m at around 50% complete. I sent an email blast to a segmented part of our list who is highly engaged. Around 2000 people.We released a free digital product exclusively to our email list. We didn’t send the link or post it ANYWHERE else. Since sending the blast out We’ve had around 30 downloads of the product and around 10 responses to the email. (We asked people to respond for a discount code)Yet Kaviyo is saying only 10% of people opened, only 2 people active on the site, and 0 people clicked the link which isn’t possible.Why might this be happening? Events are tracking from my wordpress fine. I enabled tracking links for the campaign. Seen this with a few other campaigns as well.Any help is appreciated! I definitely need accurate data during this important period of

For users that are coming to a webpage that has Klaviyo.js but don't have the cookie, is there a way to track events for those "guest" profiles?

Right now, we can see all klaviyo users on our landing page + we fire custom events based on their interactions with the page.For people who discover our landing page from other sources, is there a way to see how they interact with our landing page even if we don’t know their email? Something like klaviyo guest profiles. Thanks!

Marked as Spam high for Yahoo and Hotmail

Hi,I am in the process of cleaning up our list, and while I have managed to improve openrate, clickrate, and revenue per subscriber, we are suffering from a high marked as spam rate.However, these are coming from Yahoo and Hotmail accounts.In the past 90 days, we have had 89 out of 49,139 emails marked as spam. However, of those 89, 61 are from Yahoo and Hotmail, who received 15,100 emails. That means around 30% of emails received 69% of our spam complaints.Could there be a reason for this? I would blame it on single opt-in, but the rate is going up, not down, after turning double opt-in on.I could also blame it on increased sending rate. However, I wrote a series of emails telling the subscribers how often I would send to them, so it is a predictable twice a week on average.So, considering these spam complaints are coming from Yahoo and Hotmail over other emails by a huge amount, what could the problem be?As an aside, gmail has the highest unsubscribe rate. I’m not fussed by a higher

Emails in Spam Box: Is it Forever or Can They Be Recovered?

Hi everyone,I have a question regarding emails that end up in the spam box. Once an email goes to spam, is it for forever or is there a chance that it can eventually get out of the spam box and land in the recipient's inbox? Additionally, I would love to hear about what kind of strategies people are using to get out their emails from the spam folder.Thank you!

Warming process advise

Hey! I’ve got a question on the process of warming up when migrating from another ESP. I understand the whole process of incrementally increasing the amount of people you send to over a month, starting from your most engaged segment, but my question is on flows. Does the warming process only include sending campaigns or can I set up basic flows like welcome, customer thank you and abandoned cart from the get-go while running the warmup campaigns?

Question on "viewed product" "active on site" in the metrics

Hi,I am curious on how you guys define “active on site” and “viewed product”. Because in my cohort analysis, the number seem to be much lower consider the amount of traffic the site is getting.For example, if a user come to my site the first time and entered his email and continued browsing products, does klaviyo count that as 1 “viewed product” and 1 “active on site”? or does this user has to come to site again, and until then klaviyo will track that metrics?Can someone explain exactly how this works? THX

Multi-metric custom reports for subscribers

I am needing some help with  Custom Report. I have report the following Metrics; 1.Subscribed to List2.Unsubscribed3.Subscibed to Back in Stock 4.Marked as Spam5.Updated Preferences6.Email Clicked7.Email Sent It appears that profiled that add their email to pop up form whilst already sudscribed how can I adjust the metric so that it only counts new subscribes.( It would also be interested to know which metrics you include in your reports?) Thanks Sean

Flow Open Rates Drop 20% in 1 Month

Our flow open rates dropped from 55% to 36% January to February. Unsubscribe, spam and bounce rates are all rated good/excellent in the past couple of months, so reputation hasn’t been affected by an increase in these. I have however been running multiple A/B tests on the core flows to try increase open rates (Welcome, Cart & Checkout Abandon, Browse Abandon, New & Repeat Customer). I’m wondering if running all these tests at the same time has had a negative impact on deliverability which has led to this huge drop in open rates? It should be noted that campaign open rates remain healthy at around 50% while sending to a 30 day engaged audience of over 200,000 profiles, 2-3 times per week. So I’m confused how the deliverability of campaigns looks so good but flows have had this sudden fall. Does anyone have any ideas in the sudden drop in flow open rates/ anyone seen something similar? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Setting up dedicated sending domain and email address (on subdomains)

Hello.This is a couple of related questions, please bear with me : ) I have read all the help material regarding setting dedicated subdomains, have set them in the past, but I have a specific “which is better setup” question because domain structure in this case below, is a bit new to me.ContextI have a website (shop) which is running on a subdomain, lets say:shop.mybrand.com (on this url is basically box with language selector, where you can select language and enter the particular webstore in selected language)shop.mybrand.com/de (this is the store for germans, as an example. Different langs are in different sub-folders. WooCommerce tracking is a mess

Hi everyone, i am facing a serious issue with my WooCommerce integration: As you can see, today we had 5 orders but Klaviyo only tracked 2 started checkouts.The “Total revenue” value in the performance section is also totally wrong, way lower than Woocommerce, even taking into account expenses, refunds, cancelled orders, etc.Also, i’m getting this error: Could it be the klaviyo.js snippet? Or is it something else?Someone can please help? Thank you!

Background image and deliverability

Quick question! Does having a background image harm my deliverability? I know that an email only consisting of an image might easily end up at the spam folder, but I’m wondering if it’s the same for background images, sice they take up the whole space of the email. There’s still text and other content blocks on top of it though...

Troubleshooting with sending and dedicated domain

Hi, we are facing some problems: we have created a campaign with a template and sent it but, some email recipients didn’t receive it.The email address is our business email that is similar to the email address used as the sender's email. We have also configured a dedicated sending domain but it seems not working.We have contacted our server company and they have told us that they need the Klaviyo IP address to fix that but this is not possible.We have this problem, especially with one template.Anyone can help us?Thank you!

Transactional Shared IPs

HiNeed some clarity on a specific use case related to transactional emails:When Klaviyo marks an email as transactional, will that particular email be sent via different IP pool or the same IP pool.I assume, transactional gateway is different. Correct me if I’m wrong?Also, let’s say, if Klaviyo’s shared IP pool is blacklisted, will the transactional emails be affected? Beginner email marketer - working with a new store (>10 email list) looking for advice

This is my first time working with a client. The store I am working with has a large instagram following (300k) and are just setting up their email marketing channel, they have not yet leveraged their following to grow the listI have created some core flows for them (welcome series, cart, browser, checkout abandon) all tested and I’m happy with them. All these flows are 9 emails long and 11-14 days long - is this too long for a new store? I am now working on their winback, upsell, sunset series etc.I have created a pop up form which is currently being A/B tested   Looking for some advice for my best next step once I have the rest of the flows complete.Is there anything crucial I need to do before we start leveraging their IG following to grow the list? Thanks Gary

Client wants to scrape emails and cold email for this store

I’ve recently started working with a client. He want’s to scrape emails from instagram and other place from the internet and cold email for his shopify store. Is this legal?also I’m trying to tell him that it can seriously affect his deliverability as people will be reporting as spam.Would I be correct in saying this?

How to change my infrastructure - Dedicated Sending Domain?

Hello!I left my account inactive for a while and I need to get back to work now. However, the 60 days have passed and I can't get in touch to make a necessary change. I need to change the Domain / Dedicated Sending Domain. It seems that this is only possible by contacting support. Any way to solve this, or just subscribing to a paid plan... and then being able to ask the support team to change it?Can anybody help me? Tks!!

T-Online Bounces in 2023

Hi Klaviyo-Team,new year, same problem: Klaviyo still can’t send campaigns and flows to the provider t-online, one of the biggest providers in DACH (german speaking countries).I checked all existing threads with this problem and the answers by Klaviyo are all the same: “We are working on it. Check thread Example A , Example B or Example C for updates.” Since this answers are coming for over a year now it doesn’t really feel like Klaviyo is working on this to be honest.Furthermore getting a dedicated IP is only possible for big accounts and even an account with 500.000 campaign mailings + nearly the same amount of mails via flows doesn’t get an IP.Right now we are implementing Emarsys for our new customers because we can’t recommend Klaviyo in DACH anymore without being worried of bounces at providers such as t-online and who knows who comes next.We had very high ambitions when we started working with Klaviyo but right now Emarsys and other solutions seems to be much better for all comp

Can I filter out a flow from the reporting metrics?

The Klaviyo Growth Review tool has been an amazing reporting resource to our arsenal. I am however finding big limitations with more advanced customers who are using app integrations more extensively, like for ReCharge, where Klaviyo is attributing revenue to email that actually has nothing to do with email at all.For example, we have a client with a customized email telling customers their subscription is being renewed in a few days. There is only a link to edit their profile or subscripiton. Regardless of wether they open it or not, Klaviyo attributes 100% of the recharge revenue to these flows, when the only impact is customers cancelling or updating the billing before thre renewal period.Essentially I am wondering/would love it if the Dashbpards and this reporting tool had the ability to discluse specific flows (maybe by tag? or category? Not sure) from the revenue attribution and the dashboard widgets so we can more accurately see the revenue growth over time.

Is there an easy to pull which products were ordered by each flow?

I currently go in and manually pull out each order under the flows to determine which items were purchased from which flow.  With thousands of orders each month this is super tedious.  With the udpate, they have made it even more challenging and added life size images.  Is there a better way to get this info?
