Using The First Name Code

Hi everyone, I’ve been having a problem using the code to insert the customer’s first name into my emails. It seems like it works some of the time, and other emails I end up seeing just have a blank space. I sent out a holiday sale email this morning, and when I saw my copy, I realized it was just a blank space where the first name should be. This is very disappointing, embarrassing, and makes my emails look unprofessional because there is a comma, a space, and then an exclamation mark rather than a name inserted. Does anyone know how to ensure that the first name is always going to appear properly? Thank you,Meryl

Add to Cart metric not sending

Hi, I’ve already followed the necessary steps to integrate Add to cart metric to Shopify Website. I have tried the testing method, add my email at the end of the URL and doint the event. The profile was sucessfully created and I can check it. So that has to mean it is working.However, I could not find any Add to cart abandonment Email in the account I tested with. Hence, I wonder if it is even working.I also have Browse Abandonment, Checkout Started Metric working. I have tried to made the flow filter organised. E.g (User has performed 0 times Add to cart) to fufill. I hope I did not mess this up.BONUS: I have de-selected all Smart sending (16 hours no email after first email). Is this a good idea? Because I was afraid of the clash between Welcome Email and cart/browse abandonment.

Products are not published

Hello, I use Shopify, my stocks and orders are managed by CJdropshipping. For this, my products are on the "unpublished" status because klaviyo does not have access to my stock to make my products available. How to fix this problem ?

Abandoned cart flows doesen´t work!

Hello!Did anything happen in February?The thing is, both my Browse Abandonment and Abandoned Cart flows seem to have stopped working!? :-/ To my knowledge, I haven't made any changes, and as you can see, the flow triggers and flow filters seem correct, right?I can clearly see in my e-shop (WooCommerce) that I have orders (Beställning) that have been abandoned (Avbruten). The reason for the abandoned order is: "Unpaid order cancelled - time limit reached. Order status changed from Pending payment to Cancelled."I don't have any issues with other flows, such as various winback flows and thank you flows. Can any kind soul help me please!

Klaviyo Flow evaluating price as string instead of number? Broken?

We’ve created a simple test flow, when someone views a product, if the product is over $1.00 to send an email to mytest@email.com. The problem is the the “price” is being passed to Klaviyo with the currency symbol ($) in it.So instead of 75.49, it is passing $75.49. Therefore, the price is no longer a number but in fact a string and therefore Klaviyo flow cannot evaluate if the price is greater than 1 or not, because it is effectively evaluating if letters > 1 (which is always false).How can we fix this, please?

Show/Hide Logic based on Shopify Tag

Hey everyone, I am looking to create Show/Hide Logic based on Shopify tags.This will be used to send products in the right size to customers.e.g.  If someone has the Shopify tag XL, the show/hide logic I would think is person.Shopifytags="XL", but this doesn’t work.Does anyone know if this is possible? Any help would be massively appreciated!Thanks,Henry

Hey hey, I’m trying to send 1 message 3 days before a user’s birthday at 11am. I’m confused as to what the “Wait until person’s Birthday” step is doing. I didn’t set that, so I’m confused.  Thanks!

CAMPAIGN SCHEDULED DELIVERY LATE

Hi. I sent a scheduled campaign delivery that was supposed to be delivered at 10am Africa/Johannesburg time on 29 February. Unfortunately, I don’t have feedback from all 162 customers, but 1 customer received it just after 10am, the 2nd only received it just after 5pm, and the 3rd only received it at 8pm. I had set the time zone to Africa/Johannesburg, and not recipient time zone, so they should have all gone out and been received at 10am. I’ve searched the threads and Googled the heck out of it, but I can’t seem to find an answer. Any suggestions from the Community would be greatly appreciated.

Enabling contact to go through a flow twice

Hello there!My client created a free meditation as a lead magnet and we’d like to allow contacts to go through the flow more than once. Our setup is currently a simple form that subscribes the contact into a list, and there’s only one confirmation email in the flow. Thanks in advance! Let me know if you need more info.

Welcome flow being activated on checkout

Hi, I am trying to wrap my head around this. When a new customer abandons checkout (triggering the abandoned checkout flow) do they also get entered into the Welcome flow if they have checked the following box on the checkout page before leaving the checkout? If so, what triggers and filters do I need to ensure that this doesn’t happen?

Can I take a pre-exisiting list and subscribe them to our main newsletter list?

Hello!I am looking at sending an email campaign with an intro to our company (a marketing email), but they’re taking part in an upcoming trade program/contest and the program owners have given us this list of emails to send an email to.They DO accept marketing, but I want to send them this initial email first, and would like them to join our main newsletter list at a later time (after this email has gone out). However, anytime a contact is added to our newsletter list, they go into our welcome series. I do not want them to receive our regular welcome series email. I have created a separate list that i will send this campaign from.I know I can add a customized profile property tag when uploading this CSV ie. “Brand Tag” and can manually upload this list again to our main newsletter list and add a flow filter to the Welcome Series Flow of “Customized Profile Property Tag” does not equal “Brand Tag”.I guess my question is, would the above be the correct way to do it? Or is there a way to

How to send promotional emails on a specific date - Please help!

Hi, Klaviyo Community! I have recently started a Newsletter flow and some of the emails in this flow are promotions. For example, a Weekend Sale. Or our Anniversary Sale. These has specific dates. However, I am not exactly sure on how to insert the email on the flow where it gets to be received by the receivers on those dates. How do I go about this? Cart Abandonment Flow

Hi,I noticed that the trigger in your pre-set Cart Abandonment Flow is “Has Started Checkout”. And then there is a filter “Has started Checkout Zero Time”. Can you kindly confirm this is correct?I also don’t understand why it is called “Cart Abandonment Flow”, shouldn’t it be called “Check Out Abandonment”?And then my question is, is it possible to have the metrics “Added to Cart” in Klaviyo? We have an integration with Shopify. Thank you fo your help.

Unable to View Content in Edit Mode, But Can View in Preview & Test

Anyone Experienced in Countdown Timers within Klaviyo?

Best (or Worst) Countdown Timer Apps for Use in Klaviyo?Sentric?CountdownMail?Mailtimers?Motion Mail? Hey, all!Just wondering if anyone has personal experience with countdown timer apps and can recommend one app over another for use in Klaviyo email campaigns and/or flow emails. (Or if there are any apps to stay away from.)We’ve not used a countdown timer app before and I’ve researched reviews/blogs about some of the seemingly top choices, but I’d love to hear opinions from actual Klaviyo users. Any must-have features? Best practices? Image Block vs. Text Block Source CodeI read a previous Klaviyo Community post where the conclusion was that using the text block source code for a countdown timer will allow the timer to run down to zero in Klaviyo rather than an image block (every time the email is refreshed the timer counts down from the beginning again), so we will take that functionality into consideration in our decision. Campaigns are meh since moving to klaviyo

I moved to klaviyo a year ago from mailerlite and my campaigns have just been pretty shocking since I moved. I haven’t changed anything in my campaigns since moving, but my deliverability was almost 50% every time in mailerlite, it’s around half that on here. My click rate is also about half of what it was on mailerlite and I’m paying a ton more for klaviyo than I was on mailerlite per month. I’m getting new subscribers and every area of my business is growing, but I have noticed such a huge drop in sales from my campaigns since moving over here and I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong but it’s very discouraging and I’m thinking about moving back to mailerlite. I like the reports and analytics on klaviyo, but definitely not loving the large decrease in revenue :(I’ve moved email marketing providers before and not noticed the dip that I’ve seen mentioned on other posts when moving and becoming trusted when moving between other platforms and would this still be an issue one year on?

How to change flow trigger

I have a flow set up based on someone entering a list that’s about a year long. I’m trying to get that flow to repeat once they’ve finished it instead of exiting the flow. I know I have to set up a date-based flow instead but how do I do that with my existing flow? I’ve already created all of the emails and time delays so I don’t want to have to start over.
