For those who don't know what the RFM matrix is and how to use it -> The RFM matrix is used to create custom audiences based on customer behavior with respect to the site (very useful for ecommerce). The segments are created on 3 elements, Recency (R) the last time he made a purchase, Frequency (F) how many times he reiterated a purchase in the reference period, Monetary (M) the total value of all transactions of the customer. These 3 elements are then numbered from 1 to 5, 5 being the highest / best grade. In this matrix you will therefore find segmented customers of the group 445 253 412 145 Let's try to analyze 3 segments to understand who they are and how we can use them 445-> Customer who has purchased relatively recently, who has made many orders in the reference period and who is among the most profitable in the business. Hello,I’m on Shopify, and have disabled their double opt in. I am using my theme’s newsletter sign up form.When testing email newsletter signs ups, I am getting 2 - 3 emails from Klaviyo. Strangely, from names aren’t all the same. You can see bdelow - they were sent at the same time.How can I ensure customers only receive 1 email?Thank you
I’m trying to organize my lists better. My new sign-ups go to the newsletter list, but old contacts from Mailchimp that accept marketing and aren’t suppressed are in a separate list which needs to be cleaned. My question is what would the best practice be for cleaning the list of old subscribers and moving the remaining subscribers to the newsletter list? Any tips you guys have will be most appreciated.
Hi, I am wondering what’s the best practices to deal with duplicated profiles. I have noticed that some customers have two or more profiles with different emails. I have combined those who obviously have changed the email address - firstly used one, and now the other. But what to do with those that are subscribed to newsletter with one email and when purchasing are using the different one? Should I merge these profiles? Or just do nothing and don’t waste my time?
I’ve set up the integration with our Shopify site, and created a Newsletter Signup page using the Klaviyo forms. When I tested the form, I saw that the email was added to the Newletter list in Klaviyo, but is not showing up in Shopify.Shoppers who join the mailing list are added in both places (I know Klaviyo pulls that data).Does the form not propagate to Shopify along with Klaviyo?We want to make sure both email lists are in sync, since we use them for different purposes. I can’t tell if unsubscribers are pushed to Shopify either. Is that the case?
Our business has numerous websites. I’d like to be able to create segments of people who visit our other sites. e.g. if you visited Site X , then we can provide you flow Y or exclude people who visited site X is this possible? What code would we install on the other sites ?
Hi,We used Klaviyo about 3 years ago and then moved to MailChimp. The bulk of our contacts were acquired via MailChimp. Now we have switched back to Klaviyo and my husband tried to import the MailChimp list. It seems there was a list list previously in Klaviyo with my store’s name attached and when my husband imported the MailChimp list he for some unknown reason created 2 segments (“Not in MailChimp and Merged Klaviyo and MailChimp) and 1 list “Not suppressed and accepts marketing”. I am so confused as to why he did this! He can’t explain or fix it and when he tried to move the contact to “Newsletter” he received a Klaviyo error that states the contact are unmapped. Can someone please help me fix this? When he tried years ago to import Klaviyo to MailChimp he did something similar and I ended up not emailing a portion of my list because the list was never imported correctly. I didn’t find the error until 2 years later. Please keep in mind that my husband can’t seem to understand that
Hi, I have created a newsletter list that is connected to our welcome series flow. We have tested ourselves with emails with great success. We have disabled double opt in. However we have people appearing in the Potential Purchases segment, via the klaviyo sign up form. They are not appearing in the newsletter list and therefore not entering into our welcome series flow. From what we can see they are signing up and not going into the correct list. Are we missing something here? We are using the standard welcome pop up.

Send an automated email to a user once they are marked as “approved” in Shopify. i.e. You now have access, log in here [...] I already set up auto-emails via Flow in Shopify, but it does not allow me to send to the end-user. Other info:The sign-up form I’m using is the generic Shopify form.I see that when I test the sign-up form, it is being logged in Klaviyo in the Profiles list. How do I get started?Thank you
Hi everyone We have just started with Klaviyo and we are running an e-commerce store from a Prestashop platform.We have used the standard integration and we see profiles being imported into Klaviyo from Prestashop. However all profiles has no consent applied to them and I want to make sure that we do not send out any e-mail to customers who has not signed up for our newsletter.I have checked in Prestashop admin and I can see we have a fair amount of customers who has given consent but in Klaviyo they are all blank.Does anyone know how to get this parameter synced correctly so we do not risk to send out promotional e-mails to customers who has not opted-in for it? We have a flow that will include 1,000+ SKUs for people who buy specific made to order (MTO) products. (Due to the variants around our product line, we cannot simply categorize these in the back end of Woo and we have had to manually enter these 1,000+ SKUs as triggers into this flow.)Anyway, customers will receive an email that their product has shipped once one of those SKUs has been triggered.Can we add/update a customer’s property after they receive that email to somehow link it with a segment?Our goal is to be able to use that segment to trigger all MTO flows going forward. If we can do this, then this would help us avoid manually entering in a second time these 1,000+ SKUs to create that segment, which is what we’d like to avoid if possible.

Hello, would you mind helping me out please.I am trying to setup flow which segments my customers into NEW buyers, 2nd time (but not in one buying cycle) buyers and 3+My question is, what would be the best way to segment NEW buyer but not based on number of orders because he can buy something from my upsell page and it would make him 2nd time buyer, but it's actually new customer to which I want send related content.On the other hand, if person comes back to me after 30 days and buys again, he is 2nd time buyer, but not same as the person above.How can I segment those two types of buyers so they can recieve related message from me?Thank you in advance
Like many other subscription companies, we sell pre-paid gift subscriptions (ex: 3mo membership).The problem with selling gifts, is that its hard to know when a gift is for self (its on sale)/or gift to someone else. We’re banking on an idea that we can segment Gifting customers based on discrepancy between their billing address vs shipping address. Or their purchase IP location vs shipping address. Ex:Gift To Self - I buy Gift from one place, send it to same place. Gift to Loved One - I buy Gift from one place, but send it to another place. I’m struggling to find customer profile properties to create these two segments, any suggestions?

I already have 3000 people who’ve signed up on the shopify coming soon page to be notfiied about our launch, but I cannot seem to work out how to add those existing subscribers into a Klaviyo list.Can anyone help/advise?Thanks!Ben
