Confused about List / Segment Results

Hi, I’ve been going through the introduction to Lists and Segments. I think I understand it, but my results don’t seem accurate.I have my imported list from Mailchimp that is 6140.Then I have the default newsletter list that Klaviyo made which is 3164 (I am assuming there is some overlap with the Mailchimp list.)I tried to do a segment that combined the 2 lists and it came up with 2636. How is that math possible?(Separate subject but related - should I combine these 2 lists?)I find this often when I try to do segments. I did a segment of anyone who had clicked on my newsletter in the last 60 days and it gave me 69 people. That’s impossible. Maybe because I was using Mailchimp up until December? That’s maybe why I’m not getting accurate results?Update: I just checked my settings. I set up integration with Mailchimp when I started Kaviyo, including “Create Klaviyo lists from MailChimp audiences.”I just tried to do a segment from people on both lists that have clicked an email in since Oc

Exchange ID for Profile ID endpoint always returns 500Internal Server Error

Here is the endpoint details:https://developers.klaviyo.com/en/reference/exchangeI have added the api key and exchange id (I have copied it from the email link ?_kx=….) as well.In response, I receive internal api error and the message is something like this:"message": "An internal API server error occurred. Klaviyo isnt tracking open rates

Hello, i have noticed that my open rate dropped at a time when i changed from Mailchimp to Klaviyo.Is it possible that Klaviyo is not tracking my open rates correctly? Because i have set up, so when a costumer signs up on my list, they recive a coupon with a discount.And then they buy with that coupon, but in Klaviyo it shows that the person has not opend any emails. So now i am confused, I cant even make an un engaged segment like this, because I dont know if they are reading my emails or not. Thank you

Restoring lists to a previous state

Is there a way to restore lists to a previous state? I tried to suppress some profiles I believed were inactive and it ended up taking a huge chunk out of both of our main emailing lists that we use. I want to start back from square 1 so to speak so I can work through the logic to make sure that doesn’t happen. Is it possible for Klaviyo to restore a previous version of a list for me?

Custom Shopify Back in Stock + Subscribe to List API

Hello! While reading the community forum and developer docs, I got the impression that API calls are possible using regular JS, but anytime I try to request something I get CORS error and that is the end of it. I tried both public and private API keys, AJAX and fetch(), configured the list to be single opt-in and double opt-in. Even used the provided JS script in the docs and used my private email for testing and still it does not work. Is it even possible to do that right now and what am I doing wrong? What happen suppresses a profile in the future?

Hi everybody!When Klaviyo suppresses a profile, what happens to this profile if they buy something on our e-commerce in the future? Will this profile become active again? Or will it never be active?

Automated Coupons for Shopify Orders. Case: Customer Orders 2 times the same products has to get 2 different codes. Always receives the same.

Hey at all, we want to sell a gift card and created two coupon lists.  if customer orders 1 product he gets coupons from list 1  if customer orders 2 products he gets coupons from list 2We built up the flow:Trigger: Order, SKU equals XXX. And Quantity equals 1 And we also build another flow for the case a customer orders 2 products:Trigger: Order, SKU equals XXX. And Quantity equals 2 Now it happens that customers who order 2 times the product receive the first mail 2 times with the same code but from coupon list 1. How can me make sure that if a customer orders that special sku 2 times in one order, that he receives a coupon code from the list 2 and not 2 times list 1? Thank you so much. BR Lukas

automatically adding new subscribers to a segment

Hi there, We recently moved over from Mailchimp to Klaviyo, but we’ve had some issues with our lists and segments. Our Full (warm up) list that was made for us contained customers who had not opted in to emails, so last week we imported our subscribed contacts to Klaviyo and made a new segment with the Full (warm up) list & excluding surpressed profiles. However, this segment isn’t being added to. How do we get new subscribers (via sign up form & checkout opt-in) to automatically be added to this segment please?

Import contacts vs. duplicates records

I have a csv to import into my Master List. Obviously, I would like the Import to account for duplicate records and ignore them.  As an attempt to test and verify this process, I EXPORTED a short list of 4 known names, then reIMPORTED them back to my Master List to ensure that they WOULD all be skipped. Instead, the import said that it LOADED all 4 records and 0 were skipped. However, the total record number in the Master List remained unchanged…. and none of the records I reimported seem duplicated.  So now i’m not sure what to think. What’s going to happen when I import my longer .csv list? How are duplicates actually managed on Import?

Is there a way upload mobile numbers?

I have found the articles on uploading landline numbers (with country codes etc). Is there a way to upload mobile numbers to Klaviyo? For example, 077……?Alternatively, some advice on how to format Excel to convert mobile numbers (currently 77…...) to a functional format. Thanks for your help.

Creating segment based on future behaviour

HiI want to create a segment based on future behaviour (I need to schedule an email to be sent to people who haven’t made a purchase between 2 dates in the future). I’ve created the segment and of course right now my entire subscriber list is in it as no one has placed an order between those future dates.My question is: If I create and schedule the email today, will the segment update in real time to ensure that only those who have not made a purchase between those dates will receive the email?Thanks!

Custom profile lookup is showing up as "none"?

Hi! I am crafting an email to our customers that requires each customer to get a “reactivate” account URL that is unique to their email/account.My plan is to create a list where I upload a .csv that has each customers unique link is uploaded using a custom profile property of “reactivate_url”. I’ve tested this on 2 accounts and I see that it has worked -- both have the profile property “reactivate_url” in their account, and the URL is shown after that. However, I’m trying to craft an email that pulls this URL into the email, so customers click the link and are taken to their unique reactivate account page. I’m using the code:{{ person|lookup:'reactivate_url'|default:'' }} I pulled it using the “Insert Property” tool (screenshot below).However, every time I try and test this, it does not work. Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong? We use this method in another email template with a different URL that is unique to customers, and it works just fine, so I’m really not sure what the difference

Segment triggered flow

So I see I’m supposed to be able to do a segment triggered flow, but when I say create a new flow there’s not a way to pick segment.  There’s only per-arranged flows for various things and none of them use segment triggers.  What am I missing?

Emails are only sending to 2,441 out of 11,820 profiles

Hi! My emails are currently only going out to 2,441 addresses but my lists make up 11,820.I hadn’t really cleaned my list in a while and then I set up some parameters last year but I think I have suppressed too many profiles now. I am not sure how to get them unsuppressed. I don’t want to unsuppress the ones I have manually suppressed though. What is the best way to do this?Thanks!Zoe

How to update contact in a DOI (double opt in) list

Hi, I’m subscribing visitors to double opt-in lists using non-klaviyo forms, and I’m required to get the email on the first and the phone number on the second page.However, the phone numbers are not getting into the profile. My suspicion is that until the DOI verification is done, the contact is in the dark. Is it so?Do you plan to enable contact update while DOI is in progress? Mailchimp does.

Opt-Out Of Campaigns - Without Landing Page

Hi, I’m trying to set up an option to opt-out of future campaigns (e.g. Mother’s Day). This guide below”  is really helpful, but unless get these properties from a sign-up form (which would exclude existing customers), it looks like I have to create a landing page.   Is there a way to get subscribers to opt-out of upcoming campaigns without having to direct them to a landing page? Thanks so much.

Uploading new customers via csv to list - consent status question

I’m uploading new customers daily from a website that isn’t integrated with Klaviyo. I can do this fine however I’m confused about the consent status.If the customer opts-in to marketing when they purchase I update the consent column to “email” What do I update the consent field to if they opt-out of marketing?I tried an empty field but this doesn’t put them on the suppressed list which I assume it should?

Building Purchaser Segment by Product - Any way to not have to select each item?

My company offers a TON of different variations of products. While we only have about 3 different categories of products, we have maybe 30-40 different item names within each category (for things like different variety packs, sizes, subscriptions come in as a different item name).My issue is when I go to build a segment of purchasers for a specific category. If I use the “Placed Order” at least once, then I use “where name contains” then I have select every single item one by one that belongs in my segment for that category.Its even worse if I tried to use the “Ordered Product” metric where I would have to pick one item at a time and then use the “or” feature.I am aware I could also use a collection to filter, which would be my best bet. However, a different member of my team manages collections and not all products in the category all always in the same collection. Even if I resolved that going forward, it doesn’t solve the need to look back at people who have already purchased.What I

Hey all...I just created a new and separate popup to add names to a separate list and email flow. Names are not being added to the list, but are being added to the main email list and flow. Do I need a different snippet? From a Customer UX perspective, the signup form is working as it should. Any thoughts?

Email Opt-In at Checkout - WooCommerce

Hello,We use WooCommerce and have integrated Klaviyo with the below option selected to convert customers to subscribers during checkout. Is there flexibility to reposition this checkbox to where we want in our checkout journey? Enable customers to opt-in to email marketing via WooCommerce during checkout or with a WooCommerce footer form.✅Collect email subscribers As we’re based in the UK we require to be GDPR complaint by law. When a customer checks this box to subscribe, is there a way for Klaviyo to populate the $consent property to assign the email value as currently it doesn’t show that in the customer profile. Only a consent status with a green tick mark but not detailing what the customer has consented to? Many thanks!Michael

Turbo Theme Back In Stock Onsite JS wrong variant

Hi Everyone, I’m looking checking my console log to see why the join waitlist button appears on the wrong variant. It seems that the click/listener is 1 variant behind when listing hence, the variant tracked is not in sync with the click of the person.https://jilllao.com/products/amelia-cut-out-trench-dress?variant=41653758165158SHould be the 0/out of stock variant but the waitlist appears on the other variant after clicking the out of stock variant.
