Hi There, Since migrating from CM we’ve had people complaining on a fairly consistent basis that they’re receiving emails despite unsubscribing. The latest person has ‘Accepts Marketing’ set to false and Klaviyo states ‘never subscribed’ - can we search a sent campaign for a specific recipient and if so, how? Also, this aspect to the Shopify integration is frankly baffling for something so important. We HATE finding out that we’re disrespecting our customer’s wishes like this.If an account in Shopify has marketing turned-off, why doesn’t Klaviyo honour this?Any help would be much appreciated.Cheers, BenP.S. Sorry, I tried to change the title to make it more relevant but it’s locked.
Hi, I am new in Klavyio and I want to send multiple emails whenever I get a new order from my Shopify Store. For this automation I am using Zapier. I have created a zap that adds a new subscriber to Klavyio on every new Order but the problem is that I want to send that new subscriber an email invite, but that subscriber is not getting any emails what should I do ?
When importing contacts into Klaviyo via CSV import, is it possible to skip contacts that already exist instead of overwritting their data
When importing contacts into Klaviyo via CSV import, is it possible to skip contacts that already exist instead of overwriting their data? It seems the only option at the moment if contacts already exist in Klaviyo is that any mapped fields will be overwritten my new data from the CSV file. Is there any option to skip/exclude contacts that already exist without having to mash the list in advance in Excel?
I wish to update the segment that triggers my VIP-flow. I'm aware that if I update the segment, subscribers that meet the new segment criteria will not automatically trigger the flow. I need to back populate the flow. But how do I make sure that subscribers who already went through my VIP-flow, don't go through it again then?
Hey Hey,I’m trying to create a signup form that has a multi check box and then using the answers in a email flow.I want to send a different emails for each property that is marked. Can someone help?I can’t find any of one of properties i’ve created under the “Properties about someone” in flow filtering.

Hi everyone, I was experimenting with the segmentations and been trying to segment customers based on their lifetime value of a calendar year because we want to setup a specific flow to these customers to invite them to special events, but I doesn’t seem to be able to because the choices are either: total customer lifetime value, predicted customer lifetime value or historic customer lifetime value.Should I put in additional conditions, eg: duration of placed orders for the specific year?Pretty confusing to figure out so would love some help, thanks!
Looking at some of our hard bounces I can see that some people have entered their email addresses wrong i.e. email@example.com when it should be .com at the end. Am I allowed to change this without infringing any compliant rights?
Hi Klaviyo community,I have a spreadsheet of a thousand leads that I want to invite to subscribe to my newsletters. Can I embed a button on a broadcast email that will quickly subscribe them to my emails and add them to a segment/list of my choice? If yes, how do you do it?I’m doing this because my website is not ready yet and there is no sign up form that I can use.Thank you so much for your answers! 🙏🏾
I have one main list in my account.Almost half my profiles are not on this list. They are on no list. I want everyone to be on one list. The only sources of profiles in my account are a signup form on my website and the profiles I imported when I switched from our previous email software and joined klaviyo. How do i get everyone on the main list?
I recently integrated MailChimp with Klaviyo and the over 50k profiles within MailChimp. Most of these profiles are emails that should have been cleaned out of the list. We only need about 20k of the actual list, and don’t want to be charged for having all of these unnecessary profiles. Is there a way to get the list of active profiles down to our necessary 20k without being charged for the “dead weight” profiles?
Need help!I have 2083 active subscribersMy email go out only to 1099 subscribers, even though I choose all of the segments available in my klaviyo. More than 1000 customers are getting my emails. What to do?It is extremely important to solve this. Thank you so much in advance!
I have 27 digital only products in my store; somehow one of them is published with Klaviyo, but none of the others are. It has taken me a while to reach this point in my integration with Shopify to discover why my Kalviyo emails are picking up only the one digital product. I am on the free plan. I first installed Klaviyo when I created my Shopify store, so my 60 days of being able to contact support to ask for the backend to be corrected is long gone.I found this in a previous post:With that said, there is a setting we (Klaviyo) can enable on the backend of your Klaviyo account to ignore the inventory quantity. Enabling this setting will allow your products to populate in the feed regardless of their stock/inventory quantity. Since this is an “ignore” setting, the caveat here is that it will display all items in the feed even if they are legitimately out of stock. If you would like this feature enabled, please file a request with our support team and they will be happy to take care of
Hi, I have a pop up where I’ve been monitoring my sign up rate. Ive added a second step that asks for their birthday. I can see my sign up rate however what I want to know is is there a way that I can see what the percentage of people who signed up also gave their birthday? i.e is there a way to see sign up rate for people who gave their email on step one, and then a separate sign up rate for people who gave their bday on step 2? Furthermore, when I see the submitted form rate, does this just show the number of people who have given their email (non optional), or does it show people who have submitted both steps (bday is optional there is a button that says I dont want to) Thanks otis
I have read through several examples of engagement segments where show using OR in many cases which was always adouble negative sittation - doesn’t combine all - so if they failed on opened email it would fail on OR clicked what is correct definition to use? ThanksDarleen
Hello Klaviyo Community, I hope you’re having a great start to your week. I would appreciate some guidance on what the best way to do the following is. I have a Shopify store and a Klaviyo account which I’ve synced. I can see that heaps of people have subscribed to my marketing via the Shopify checkout. However, with that heaps of people have also chosen not to subscribe. On Klaviyo - the people who haven’t subscribed are active profiles. Am I supposed to export the list of people from Shopify that haven’t consented to marketing and upload them to Klaviyo and suppress them or should I remove people who haven’t consented using flow filters on each flow I build or how do I ensure I only market profiles that have consented to marketing? Looking forward to being guided by the best community in the world! Warm regards,Rox
This is a segment I built: I only want to include leads who have engaged with our content - but because I am selecting people who opened an email “OR” clicked an SMS I am ending up with people who are Active Clients that have also clicked on an SMS.Is there a way to Bracket the AND/OR statements so I can do something like (Opened OR Clicked) AND not a Client?the way the OR statement is attached to the previous condition makes it look like it is connected and might be written like that - but it is not. PS.This is another use case where being able to edit the fields shown when looking at a segment list would be super helpful where I’d be able to see at a glance if the segment is including/excluding the right people without having to guess and hope that my random spot-checking individual records stumbles onto a key record indicating if Active clients are in the list or not.
Hello, For a bit of background: I'm in the process of setting up / creating my Newsletter to send weekly emails to my customers. And I'm running into a problem. In the details of my customers' profiles: Some of them have the status "Email Never Subscribed" (Provided an email without opting for email marketing) but also the Custom property "Accepts Marketing" set to true.So I have two questions: What parameter should I rely on to send my newsletter to the right people? And how can I define a segment that includes these customers? Thanks in advance for your help,Best regards,Loïs.
We set up the integration with our Salesforce org and Klaviyo which works fine but it imports all our leads into Kalviyo. We don't want to import all our leads into Klaviyo. Is there a way to add a filter to limit which leads are imported? We would like to only import leads that are for a specific SF record type.
I made a sign up form and it looks like it’s collecting emails but not triggering the welcome email series. My Welcome Series emails should be triggered by someone signing up for my newsletters, but the emails aren’t sending! The only one delivered was from a past newsletter series but I changed my newsletter and now they’re not sending. Please help! Thanks.
When I upload a new list to Klaviyo using a Shopify Customer csv file, there might be multiple profiles that already existing in Klaviyo. Some of those profiles may have unsubscribed from previous email campaigns. When I upload the new list the suppressed profiles on Klaviyo get affected and are shown as “subscribed” again. How to I prevent this from happening and ensure that any profiles that have unsubscribed from email campaigns remain this way?
Hi there, I’ve been looking at lists on our account and noticed that our Newsletters list is 5k under the amount of customer we have on a list where the definition is just ‘accepts marketing’ can anyone say why this is? Also is there a way we can then add this extra 5k to our newsletter list?!Thanks in advance,Ali
