@worcestershiresauce you’re asking good questions! So glad you found my feedback helpful. Also glad to hear you’ve got access to live chat.  I’m gonna number these to make it easier to follow, so… Your question about backup CSV files. Basically any time I prep a CSV file for import into Klaviyo, whether it’s importing new subscribers or setting up custom profile properties, I save a copy of the file in a folder in my cloud drive. Either Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., whatever you use.  1b. That helps me start over with a clear trail to follow when I need to retrace steps/ troubleshoot imports that were incomplete or failed.   As for people who unsubscribe - the best thing to do is to make sure whatever group of people you’re exporting to process data is exported in one of these 2 ways: A = Create a segment of the list you’re working with that identifies all who are “unsuppressed” - that will narrow the focus to be only active profiles. B = Export people’s consent status as an extra prope

Klaviyo Flows Attributed Revenue is down drastically for last 30 days

Hi @Anujtyagi, welcome to the community! I’d encourage you to start by comparing the number of deliveries for each email in the flow within the last 30 days, and the 3 months leading up to that. If there’s a significant drop, it might tell you something about the flow trigger being broken, or indicate there’s another factor impacting the flow engagement.  For the abandoned cart flow; what ecommerce platform are you integrated with? There might be something about that integration that’s broken and not correctly triggering the “started checkout” event that sends people into the flow.  If you have a paid Klaviyo account, it would be useful to get on live chat and ask Klaviyo support to help you examine that. They have access to backend data about your ecommerce events that can help you more specifically.  For your welcome series flow; have you noticed similar changes in your optin rates? Hi @gokellylewis!This is a great question, and @worcestershiresauce gave you some quality feedback. A couple things I’d add: Does this factor into email deliverability and reaching the Inbox tab instead of Promotions?It’s my understanding that the “from name” doesn’t make a significant impact in deliverability. By now, Gmail, Hotmail, and others know when Klaviyo or other email marketing tools are used to send an email.  What matters more is your sending domain, its verification status, and your sender reputation. You might need to do some list warming while you’re getting started; focusing on small segments with the most engaged people, then reaching out to less engaged segments. @In the Inbox might be able to help you better understand how to get started with this if it’s new to you. What’s the purpose of the “from name”?The person receiving your email is always the most important factor here. @Anujtyagi okay, so you’ve pinpointed a milestone date where open rates started to drop.  If open rates are down, that will explain why revenue is lower. What Happened to Percentage of List by Domain in Campaign Deliverability Report

This is a great point @In the Inbox: “I am also not seeing in the bar charts the total volume sent by domain to gauge if there is an unhealthy issue, the overall impact to the program.”  I’ve encountered a similar problem when referencing these new deliverability reports. The new tables are helpful at a quick glance, but the most important piece that’s missing is the broader context for the total size of segments/ recipients for each email. I appreciate the recommendations Klaviyo is adding to the deliverability reports, but I would love to see a broader reference point so when you see something like “hotmail has 80% open rate” it’s more immediately obvious if that’s because there are 10 recipients w/ hotmail email addresses, or because your recipient segment truly has a significant percentage of hotmail email addresses. I was able to find that by hovering over specific bars on the chart, but we need a better way to make this immediately obvious without having to check each individual

Hey, @worcestershiresauce  Glad you found a path to helping you and your team get started with using targeted segments quickly! One small piece of caution to others who might read this thread and try a similar strategy: If you create profile properties directly on the profile, you will not be able to set up the List data type for a custom profile property that does not already exist in your account. So for now, this is a solution only for custom profile properties that are Text/String data type, or Boolean, or Date/ Number data types. But if at some point, you wanted to be able to leverage List data type custom profile properties to show/hide email content for those people who might have purchased for both “School” and “Home” you would need to reconfigure how your custom profile properties are created and stored in Klaviyo. As for your new question here: “The only thing is people who subscribe at point of checkout (second image) etc rather than our Klaviyo sign-up are not being segment

Dynamic test link

Hey @carmenxcvii,We’re glad to have you here in the community! This is something I’ve also wanted for quite some time! Unfortunately, it’s not an existing feature in Klaviyo, at least yet.  @David To could you help us pass this feedback to the product team please? 🤞🏼 For now, you can use a web preview link to show test emails, but anyone given that link has to log into Klaviyo in order to view the email preview. Litmus is a useful tool, but it might not be the best option for a smaller business - if that’s applicable to you. My SMB clients make a “preview list” of the 2-5 people who need to review test emails and approve them. So you’d build the campaign email, then send it to the preview list for review. Then for sending a campaign to your true list, I’d recommend you clone the test email that’s already built, make any revisions needed there, and then send that off. For flow emails, you can send a preview to manually specified email addresses if you click the “preview and test” butt

@ebab4138 welcome to the community! I’m curious what benefit you’re hoping to get from sending emails using 2 different domains? That creates more work for you to manage the sender reputation of both email addresses you’re using to send these emails. It also creates potential confusion and disorientation for your customers, since they now have to keep track of 2 different email addresses if you don’t use the same “from name” for each one… ~ Gabrielle

Hey @ebab4138, @inboxingmaestro and @David To have given you helpful context. At this point, it comes down to your personal preference of workflow.  If you feel up to managing multiple sender profiles using the same domain (so shipping@mywebsite.com and marketing@mywebsite.com ) then it that would solve what you’re looking for. If you want to add an extra level of complexity, then you could move into using specific sub-domains for email addresses as @inboxingmaestro described. Or, you could stay with the current simplest path, and use one email address for sending. If you want to switch the email address you’re currently using for another one, then just take care to build up the sender reputation of the new email address by slowly incorporating it into your email marketing before completing the switch. Verifying DKIM and SPF records in Klaviyo is important also.  Whichever route you take, you’ll need to take care to maintain the sender reputation. But you can add or take away levels of

Is It Possible To Provide An External Link to a Campaign Email For Use On Social

Hi @SallyB,An alternative solution you might try is creating a blog post that shares the content featured in your newsletters.  That gives a more valuable reading and shopping experience for anyone on your social platforms who would read this duplicate of your newsletter… You could then easily link to that from IG stories, your bio, etc. You also get the added bonus of bringing those people to your website, where it’s really easy for them to start shopping with just one click, if they’re inspired by what they read in your newsletter. Sharing screenshots can be useful, but the formatting might not be as easily resized for mobile screens as you would hope for in an ideal situation. Creating a blog post replicating (for the most part) your newsletter helps images and text look great on all devices. And then you don’t have to worry about really small text that doesn’t resize as needed for mobile reading! One more thing to consider: what benefit do you get from sharing the entire content of

Pre-header is not shown on certain inbox providers

Hi Laura, Welcome to the community!  I’ve also experienced this problem when sending emails for my clients. The most foolproof workaround we’ve found so far is to create a “fallback” version of the preview text (pre-header) when building the email.  So when you specify your subject line and preview text, you fill out the designated fields as usual…  Then we designed a section of the email template to have a separate text block at the very top of the email (there’s a brand logo above, but I blocked it out for confidentiality). So it goes logo, then small text section for the fallback preview text (pre-header). OR you can have a small text section for that, placed above the logo - both work equally well in inboxes that otherwise don’t show the pre-header specified in the Klaviyo field shown above. Here’s a closeup of what it looks like inside the email… This email template has been designed to mimic stationery with brand letterhead. Hi @Socialshine, Welcome to the community! I appreciate the intent of your idea, but we’re not legally allowed to remove the option to opt out from marketing emails. The people on your list will appreciate you respecting their consent, also.  One thing you could do is in the very first email of a post-purchase flow, use language that forecasts what people can expect in coming emails. Make it clear you’re there to help, the meal plan is to assist them, and you won’t overwhelm their inboxes with unnecessary marketing emails in that context. @Socialshine you have good feedback on transactional emails from David. As for marketing emails/ newsletter campaigns - I’m not saying never send them to this group of people. If people opt in to receive your marketing, campaigns are a valuable piece to complement your flow emails. But what many companies miss is the important of segmenting people so that they don’t receive every single campaign email sent.  So this is what I’m encouraging you to do - bring attention to what your different campaign emails are, within context of what flow emails people might already be receiving at that time. So for example: if someone’s placed an order within the last 3-7 days, or even as many as 14 days (depending on your purchase cycle) OR if they’ve had a subscription renewal type of event within a similar timeframe, you might want to give them a break from receiving your campaign emails for 2 weeks or so.  It all depends on the content of the email, if you’re making an offer and the type of offer,

@heyjessromero totally understandable you don’t want to spend time building all email elements in Canva before taking them to Klaviyo!  @Akers Digital and @Ashley I. have both given you useful feedback... This information is something you might also want to share with your client, so they can appreciate how the benefit of having emails that are dynamically resized for mobile and easily read by all recipients can often outweigh the desire to have 100% perfect brand consistency. One thing they forgot to mention is that you can specify which fallback font in Klaviyo should be used for all of your emails. So you (maybe together with your client for their peace of mind/ approval) can examine the available fallback fonts, and choose the one that is closest to the preferred brand font.  Approximately 50% (or more) of the people on any brand’s email list are opening emails on their phones and/ or tablets. So if you’re using custom images created in Canva, those won’t adjust the font size for h

Winback Flow for Subscription Products

Hi @OliviaC! I love the approach that @In the Inbox shared. I have a client who also found taking the time to improve the process for frustrated/ disappointed customers to get connected with the CX/Customer Support team significantly decreased the rate of returns. Not quite the same context, but pretty similar in terms of retaining customers and revenue that would’ve otherwise been lost.  One thing you could do as part of the CX process @In the Inbox shared is find a way to share with Klaviyo the data behind why people canceled their subscriptions. That could enable you to build flow filters or conditional splits into the logic of the “winback” flow you’re wanting to build.  So for example: If Recharge has a post-cancellation survey that collects reasons why people canceled, I would expect that the Recharge integration could send those reasons to Klaviyo as custom profile properties. Then a list of people who need to talk to your CX team could be sent to your team, perhaps via integrat

Archived emails landing page

Hi @smclea! Welcome to the community! I was recently part of a similar discussion around how to re-share archived email newsletters with people on social media, or your website. The short answer is this is not something Klaviyo currently supports beyond taking a screenshot of an email preview, nor is it something you can automate.  But this gives you an opportunity! Previously sent emails with evergreen content are an excellent reason to create a blog on your client’s site, if they don’t have one already. That way even if someone’s not ready to purchase, you can give people a good reason to stay on the client’s site, decrease their bounce rate, and also share evergreen content with your new subscribers who might not have already seen it.  This is the best path forward for what you’re trying to accomplish. The content reading UX will be higher quality for your client’s audience if it’s presented as a blog on their website.  These blog articles could then be repurposed as new emails for

@KeviSunshine this is a great point, and I’d second that feature request. I’ve often found the Klaviyo reports to be insufficient for when I’m trying to understand finer details about flow performance like the example you gave. Hopefully they can improve that for us and other users! ~ Gabrielle

Klaviyo Transactional Email Flow

Hi @MasonK  Welcome to the Klaviyo community! I’m not certain if Klaviyo is capable of having DNS records verified for multiple sending domains. But if you want to use 2 distinct email addresses with the same sending domain, you’ll just need to change the “from email” and “from name” on each of the individual transactional emails sent. So for example: If you specify one email address as your account default for marketing messages, then you’ll need to revise the email address and “from name” for each of your transactional emails.
