Syncing email subscribers with Shopify

I have a Klaviyo newsletter sign up form in the footer of a Shopify store and customers receive a welcome discount code. This all works relatively well.My question is, is it possible to update the ‘Email Subscription’ status to ‘Subscribed’ in Shopify from Klaviyo?One of the conditions on the discount code in Shopify is ‘for email subscribers’ so unless that status is getting updated the code will not work for them. The help section seems to say this can be updted, but maybe I’m reading it wrong.

If MetaData contains "word" logic

So we are accepting back orders from customers now (on Woo) and this comes across in Klaviyo as {{ event.extra.Items.0.Metadata.0.Name }} and the label says “Name: Back-ordered”I know I am doing the below wrong but could somebody help me with the exact logic required? “{% if "Back-ordered" in event.extra.Items.Metadata.Name %} Text{% endif %}

Subscribers virgilio.it and libero.it are suppressed after a fallout of those email services

Going through the suppressed list > Bounces, I noticed that many users from the email domains virgilio.it and libero.it are suppressed on the same date with the reason ‘bounced’. I did not send out any mail on that date. I found out that these services had a fallout in their datacenter on January 23rd. My bounces were registered on Klaviyo on the 26th January.  Does anyone know how I can get these guys back on my regular lists? And did anyone else also find this issue?

How to create a URL link to a landing page/ audience list in Klaviyo?

Hey Guys,I have created a new audience list in Klaviyo however I am wanting to create a URL link to it so we can post it on our social media channels and have our audience click it to sign up to the mail list in Klaviyo.Does anyone have information on how to do this? Any help would be very appreciated.I’ve tried to do it and it just links a pop up form to our website, we want a separate URL that we can post for our audience to click and sign up. Kindest

Hello, We think our contact list isn’t growing fast enough due to the accept marketing opt-in at checkout not automatically selected - we have just updated this. We want to know if the customers that have shopped previously but not selected accept marketing were still added?

Creating a Shopify Flow for Payment Reminders

Hello! I am trying to set up a payment reminder flow using Shopify Flow. Essentially, it would send two emails before cancelling the order.  I’m just curious — with Klaviyo, I can only send a campaign. Since there wouldn’t be a list I want to send it to, but rather the order email, will including the {{order.email}} variable work?

Adding Conditional Logic in Flow

Hi Klaviyo Community!In my Welcome Series flow, I offer a first-time customer discount. I show the discount in email #1 and then I have a conditional split prior to email 3. The conditional split for email 3 is based on whether the customer has bought or not; if not, the customer will receive a “final day to use your coupon” email. If they’ve bought already, they’ll receive another email about our brand.Rather than creating another conditional split, I’d like to dynamically show the coupon in email #2 if the customer has not bought yet (and if they have bought, hide the banner). I created a new boolean property called “Buyer” (choice is either True or False) that is set when a customer makes their first purchase with us.I’ve read through the community messages and Klaviyo documentation but cannot seem to get the coupon banner to display for qualifying profiles. I’ve tried:person|lookup:'Buyer'==0person.Buyer =="0"person|lookup:'Buyer'==falseperson.Buyer =="false"So, I’m reaching out to

Best way to capture customer preferences through signup form?

Hi there!We have been using Klaviyo now for about a year, and I’m having really good success with our engaged segment. As we are a gift shop with several different categories (candles, specialty foods, tableware, baby, home decor, pets, etc) I’d like to begin capturing customer preferences so that when we are doing product specific emails, I am only sending to the people who are interested in those categories. What is the best way to capture that information after they complete the pop-up? Is it best to capture that immediately, or add it as part of our welcome flow? Or take them directly to a page online after completing the subscribe form? Is that something I can do using a Klaviyo form or is best achieved through an app?Greatly appreciate any advice or best practices that are working for others. Thanks!

Activating dedicated sending domain

Hi Everyone, I have updated the sending domain and DNS changes has been done. But, I want to keep the existing sending domain for some time before the IP warming is done. My active send: Double opt-in emailWant to activate: Welcome Series My question is:Should I use the new dedicated domain for both the campaigns ? My send volume is less like maximum 5 sends for double opt-in and followed by the welcome series which will be received by the same double opt-in audience If I do not change the ‘Default sender email address’, Klaviyo will keep sending emails from the existing email address or it will take the new domain ? Thanks in advanceSuchi

Facebook lead gen: adding emails to main list

I have a client who is in Canada and segments their list based on a Profile property Language = en or Language = fr. If we use Facebook lead gen ads to synch new emails to their main Newsletter list, is there a way for us to capture data from facebook Facebook to automatically add with the Language property setting based on the ad or form used to capture the lead?

All my feeds have been deleted

Hello, I have a big problem. All my feeds have been deleted. I'm still on the same account, but it's impossible to contact the support because my subscription has also disappeared, it's back on free. I am still on the same account. I think it's because I checked the button to integrate klaviyo in "application integration" in my shopify shop when everything was working. I think it rebooted and deleted them all. How do I do this?

How to add property based on purchase

Hi,I have 40 different niches and each niches has specific customers. Now when somebody from (not in the list) outside purchases a product, they are not coming under any niche. For eg I have a Niche nurse and profession as Nurse (In Klaviyo properties) if a person purchase from that particular niche how can I automatically add their profession as Nurse. Dashboard card with profiles list

Hi guys, I want to create a dashboard for my CEO.I can produce the right cards to show flow and form performance but I also want a card that will show the names and phone numbers of people who have subscribed to our segment ‘please call me’ in the last week.I can get a count of these people but can’t get their names to show up on a card.Is this even possible?

Deleted accounts are recreated by virtue of delayed events

Howdy!We are having a horribly annoying issue when it comes to deleting accounts in compliance with GDPR requests. Requests to be deleted arrives to Zendesk, the support agent removes deletes the user from Klaviyo but then the user gets recreated because of delayed Zendesk events, like ticket resolution :/Is there anyway around this or does the Klaviyo profile have to be redeleted at a later point in time to assure that no delayed Zendesk events messes things up.

How can I collect state/region information using the dropdown block?

What is the best way to setup the “State/Region” dropdown?I’m collecting addresses using the input text boxes and dropdowns. Do I need to manually create the “State” dropdown by entering all 50 states? Is there a tutorial on this?  There isn’t the “State” option as an input field.

Mobile display issue with email confirmation form

Hello, I am having a display issue with the confirm subscription email on mobile. Hoping someone can help. I am receiving the confirmation emails very small on mobile, while the emails look just fine on desktop. The mobile preview in the editor looks fine, like this: But when it is received in both my ios inbox as well as in the gmail app, it appears like this: I have compared all settings to other templates that are displaying just fine in mobile, and made similar settings in this form. I have the form width set to 600 px. The editor for this email form is rather limited and seems like the classic editor, so not really much to play around with. Am I missing something? Thanks in Advance!

Tips on back-populate with imported lists

Hi there! I am new to Klaviyo and have been working on a welcome series for my customers. This is the very early stages and I am still learning a lot.I imported emails from Shopify and I want the emails to be included in my welcome series. Does back-populate also include the imported list for a welcome series? I haven’t been able to find a direct answer to my question and I want to be sure things will flow properly once it’s finished.Thank you for your help!

Understanding How to Use Klaviyo for SMS Messaging

Hello,I work for a company that has created a white-label ecommerce system.  One of our merchants has required we integrate the Klaviyo API so that their customers can receive marketing emails or text messages.  I’ve been able to add email addresses / mobile phone numbers to a List and provide sms_consent using the API just fine.What I’m having trouble with is how I would use Klaviyo in other capacities.For example, as part of the sign up process for our website, we send a text message to a new customer’s phone with a confirmation code.  We then require the customer to type in the code we’ve sent them in order to complete the sign up process.Is there a way, using Klaviyo, that we can send this SMS to customers without them having to provide sms_consent?  In this case, the SMS sent isn’t for marketing purposes - it’s just to verify that the customer has provided a valid phone number.I appreciate any help you can provide this Klaviyo newbie.

Send Date Property based email at Time in custom property / metric

We want to use Klaviyo to send Zoom call appointment reminders day of, and then 5-10 minutes before the call starts.I see how to use “Date Property” trigger to send email on specific days, provided I store the date as a custom property, but I cannot see how to get it to send at a dynamic time.Is there a way through either Custom Properties or Metrics to create flows that send emails to per-user specific times?  Instead of smth like “9:00 a.m. on day of Appointment” for everyone?Like if I store “Appointment” as ‘2023-02-15 15:45:00’, on Feb 15th the email sends at 15:45, or set to 5 minutes before 15:45.And if I store “Appointment” for another user as ‘2023-02-15 11:00:00’, it sends at 11:00 a.m. or 5 minutes before 11:00.The closest I’ve seen is another forum post where someone said you could put a future timestamp in a metric, but that seems quite fragile should there be reschedules and cancellations.

Welcome series for subscribers and newsletter subscribers

Hello!  I’m new to Klaviyo and trying to figure out how to set it up so when someone subscribes to my newsletter and makes a purchase which makes them a new subscriber (2 seperate list) get the same welcome series of emails.  Just wanting to make sure when someone does both, they do not get double welcome series emails.  Guessing there is segments to add to make this happen but not sure. Thanks, Kit

Event properties missing on Viewed Product event.

Trying to read ProductID from Viewed Product event we can see is not being retrieved on the event.From others stores we can also see the following properties: CompareAtPrice, Price, ProductID.

Why isn't there a Revenue Metric for WooCommerce?

In Klaviyo, there is a Revenue metric for Shopify that you can view on client profiles but there isn’t one for WooCommerce. Why is that? Will it be available in the future?
