Emails are only sending to 2,441 out of 11,820 profiles

Hi! My emails are currently only going out to 2,441 addresses but my lists make up 11,820.I hadn’t really cleaned my list in a while and then I set up some parameters last year but I think I have suppressed too many profiles now. I am not sure how to get them unsuppressed. I don’t want to unsuppress the ones I have manually suppressed though. What is the best way to do this?Thanks!Zoe

How to update contact in a DOI (double opt in) list

Hi, I’m subscribing visitors to double opt-in lists using non-klaviyo forms, and I’m required to get the email on the first and the phone number on the second page.However, the phone numbers are not getting into the profile. My suspicion is that until the DOI verification is done, the contact is in the dark. Is it so?Do you plan to enable contact update while DOI is in progress? Mailchimp does.

Opt-Out Of Campaigns - Without Landing Page

Hi, I’m trying to set up an option to opt-out of future campaigns (e.g. Mother’s Day). This guide below” is really helpful, but unless get these properties from a sign-up form (which would exclude existing customers), it looks like I have to create a landing page. Is there a way to get subscribers to opt-out of upcoming campaigns without having to direct them to a landing page? Thanks so much.

Uploading new customers via csv to list - consent status question

I’m uploading new customers daily from a website that isn’t integrated with Klaviyo. I can do this fine however I’m confused about the consent status.If the customer opts-in to marketing when they purchase I update the consent column to “email” What do I update the consent field to if they opt-out of marketing?I tried an empty field but this doesn’t put them on the suppressed list which I assume it should?

Building Purchaser Segment by Product - Any way to not have to select each item?

My company offers a TON of different variations of products. While we only have about 3 different categories of products, we have maybe 30-40 different item names within each category (for things like different variety packs, sizes, subscriptions come in as a different item name).My issue is when I go to build a segment of purchasers for a specific category. If I use the “Placed Order” at least once, then I use “where name contains” then I have select every single item one by one that belongs in my segment for that category.Its even worse if I tried to use the “Ordered Product” metric where I would have to pick one item at a time and then use the “or” feature.I am aware I could also use a collection to filter, which would be my best bet. However, a different member of my team manages collections and not all products in the category all always in the same collection. Even if I resolved that going forward, it doesn’t solve the need to look back at people who have already purchased.What I

Hey all...I just created a new and separate popup to add names to a separate list and email flow. Names are not being added to the list, but are being added to the main email list and flow. Do I need a different snippet? From a Customer UX perspective, the signup form is working as it should. Any thoughts?

Email Opt-In at Checkout - WooCommerce

Hello,We use WooCommerce and have integrated Klaviyo with the below option selected to convert customers to subscribers during checkout. Is there flexibility to reposition this checkbox to where we want in our checkout journey? Enable customers to opt-in to email marketing via WooCommerce during checkout or with a WooCommerce footer form.✅Collect email subscribers As we’re based in the UK we require to be GDPR complaint by law. When a customer checks this box to subscribe, is there a way for Klaviyo to populate the $consent property to assign the email value as currently it doesn’t show that in the customer profile. Only a consent status with a green tick mark but not detailing what the customer has consented to? Many thanks!Michael

Hi Everyone, I’m looking checking my console log to see why the join waitlist button appears on the wrong variant. Hi do I remove contacts from a list when they become customers?

Hi there. It seems to me that klaviyo lacks some fundamental workflow/automation when it comes to managing lists. For example. let’s say I only have two email marketing lists: Customers and Non customers (who have opted in for example just from a lead magnet). I would like to setup an automation that when someone from the list “not customers” make a purchase, he/she get removed from that list and placed into the “customers” lists. Why in the flow actions available I only have email, sms, update and notification ? Where is “remove contact” ? It’s so easy to add, why isn’t there ? However I can’t find any way to do it. Can anyone help me out ? Thank you

Trying to upload a list (CSV) and keep getting error message: "Duplicate Headers"

Hi all, Strange because I have done this many times before, but I am attempting to upload a list and it keeps saying “duplicate headers” when there are no duplicate headers. I have tried with different files and I keep getting the same message. Has anyone had this happen before? I only have three columns (First Name, Last Name and Email. When I try to copy and paste, I get the same message and when I try to remove the header altogether, I still get the same message. Any help appreciated.

Best Practice: How many lists?

Just starting out and want to do this cleanly…How many Lists should I have?One Youtuber suggested a list for Signup Forms, Newsletter and Checkout.Another article suggested just having one main Master list into which everything flows. I like the idea of keeping it simple - one list.But does that cause trouble later? Like, if everybody is dumping into a Master list, how do I identify who came in from a Signup Form, and who came from a Checkout experience, etc? What is best practice for a good, efficient workflow as things get more complex?

Why are Subscribers not being added to a List, but to a Segment?

Desperately trying to understand this. I connected Shopify. It imported my 300 person list to Profiles,” but filtered only 100-or-so to a segment, and none to a List. I don’t understand this. After watching several tutorials online, I’m still not clear about how to set up a best-practice environment … especially after that the system seems to be trying to do on my behalf automatically. Am I supposed to have one single List of Everyone We Could Possibly Contact?If so, why are none of my Profile people in a List, but only (1/3) in a Segment?(And, when I need to import more people from an existing Active Campaign account, should I import them directly into that Big Main List, or create another one just for those guys?) Can someone provide instructions based on this (not “in general”) for how I should be setting this up? Already overwhelmed and haven’t even started yet.

How to allow customers to segment themselves?

Scenario: You sell several different categories of products. It’s likely that someone who once opted in, only wants to receive specific emails about that particular category. By chance, the last 3 campaign emails they received do not include that specific product category. Now your emails no longer feel relevant to them, so they stop opening your emails. Question: Is it possible to send a re-sign-up form to the lists to allow people to segment themselves according to product interest? Thanks! Ben

Segments based off multi-checkbox answers

Hi folks, Just trying to clarify something…If I have a form with a multi-checkbox block, say 4 difference options each with their own property/value… For example, lets use colours, so white, black, green, yellow.So, someone could submit a form where they have selected black and green.If I want to get a tally on how many of these properties have been “chosen” regardless of how many profiles may have made multiple selections, is building a segment using “property” “contains” then white/black/green/yellow per segment correct? In this instance I don’t care about other permutations of multiples… I just want to be able to say “50 people total selected green”, “10 people selected yellow” etc based off the number of profiles that populate in each segment.Thanks!

I can't segment profiles well by color variation or SKU.

I can't segment profiles well by color variation or SKU. "Ordered Product" is set up with color variations and SKUs, but it also sends different colors and SKUs. Is there a better way? Even if I set the color variation to black and buy pink, I get an email here with the black segment.

Hi, I can not get any response from this API, https://developers.klaviyo.com/en/reference/unsubscribe, how can I know the success of the API call. Also I little bit confused with List Exclusion and Global Exclusion. Could you explain it. Global exclusion works for me but when I try to use List exclusion API I am getting zero records. consent status for imported

I just imported all of my contacts from Big Commerce. I see the profiles that were created but how do I get Klaviyo to add them to lists or segments so I can email them. When I check their profiles I don’t see the little green mark that indicates their consent status as being ok. But I see that they have been receiving emails thru Big C because they all opted in at some point

Workaround instead of making a segment of a segment

I am using a quiz software as a lead magnet to my master list and it has many branches of answers. The software company (shockingly) doesn’t have UTM parameters as an option (UTM Campaign = Gift Ideas, for example), so I made a segment based on all the options they could choose from Q1.Definition is “Quiz Takers = people who answered Q1 as A,B,C,D, etc”They will go through Flow “B”After Q 1 it starts splitting off and wouldn’t capture all quiz takers.Now I also want to filter this segment OUT of Flow “A” so they don’t get a couple duplicate welcome messages.To create a filter I would need to once again say “do not send to anyone who answered Q1 as A,B,C,D, etc.” I am missing something. Essentially I’d like to say “make a segment of people who are in Segment Quiz Takers” but obviously I cannot do that. Interact integrates with Klaviyo but Klaviyo doesn’t support integration the other way for it to provide me with customer actions.Ideas? A work around? Thanks!

Move subscribers from list to another list after preference update (or delete from one)

As many others have asked, I want to make sure this still is set as not resolved:We have 3 lists as this is the only way to serve them with the following mails in their own languages without creating hosted pages: ‘Confirm Your Email’ and ‘Manage Preferences’.Languages:English Swedish GermanIf a subscriber decides to change language with the ‘Manage Preferences’-page from German to English, we need to add them to the English list AND remove them from the German list.Otherwise, they would still get the German version of our ‘Manage Preference’.→ With Zapier we can add them to a list but as I recall it’s not possible to also remove them from a list.Does any have a workaround or a solution that doesn’t involve hosted pages? Using segments in any way doesn’t resolve this issue as it only relates to which ‘Manage Preferences’-version (language{english|swedish|german}) they will go to when they click at {% manage_preferences %}. Bonus info: we have a language property on all our subscribers.

Same Unsubscribe/Manage Preferences Page for ALL Lists & Segments

I am having trouble setting my customised unsubscribe and manage preferences pages to every single email i send out which, in most cases, is to many different lists and segments. I have created the custom pages under ‘Hosted Pages” using HTML and have updated this under the “Preference Page” for Unsubscribe & Manage Preferences. When i send out a test email, it still goes to the default “Unsubscribe & Manage Preferences” page that Klaviyo uses. I updated ONE list from the generic unsubscribe link to my custom link/page. That worked however i can’t do it for segments.All i wish to do is have my custom Unsubscribe & Manage Preferences page for every email sent to every list/segment. How can this be achieved?

Deleted profiles still in a flow. How to bulk-remove?

I deleted old profiles that I no longer wanted in Klaviyo but didn’t quite understand how the Shopify integration worked, meaning Shopify re-imported a number of those profiles and added them to our welcome flow. I used a segment to isolate those profiles and deleted them from our account (and change settings so they won’t import again), but they’re still queued up to receive emails in the welcome flow. I know that I can view the welcome flow analytics and delete the emails in the ‘waiting’ list, but there are approx 130 and it’s pretty time consuming to delete them one-by-one. I would have thought that when you delete a profile it gets removed from any flows? How do I easily remove all these profiles from any flows? Thank you!

Hi everyone, I might be missing something here, but is there a way you can create a one off segment WHILST building a new campaign? Drives me bonkers that I have to create and save a segment before creating a campaign, only to then have to delete it after the send (because it’s irrelevant after I send that particular email) Ie, If I just want to resend an email to those who didn’t open the first one, I have to create and save a special segment for that? Rather than just specifying that ‘rule’ inside the new campaign? Cheers, Sam.

How do I put existing clients into a new list/segment?

Hello Everyone,I have a question that seems to not be answered yet. lolI make some sales on my Shopify store manually. The clients call me and say what they want. I generate an invoice and send to them to pay. In this process, I’m the one that is putting their information on the system. I add their email and address as they asked. I started to notice that none of these contacts are going to a segment or list. Automatically they do not receive any flows or campaigns. How can I add/move them to an existing list?In a normal contact I see Metrics>List&Segments>Contract>Channels>InformationOn those contacts I see Metrics>Contact>Channels>Information It is missing the list and segments.Another this is, for clients that I want to separate by gender and by sales status, ie. wholesale, making a list would work better right?! How to import birthday contact list to existing klaviyo profile

Hi Everyone, Need some help please, been trying to search but couldn't find the right answer. Can anyone give guidance on how to do it: I wanted to update contact lists that are already in Klaviyo with their birthday. Can anyone advise on how to import this contact to the profile? I already create the CVS file for this that include: email address - first name - last name - birthday (MM/DD) We just want to update the contact that already in Klaviyo, how to make sure not to import any new contact in there? (we are taking the data from our MailChimp, some contact is not in the Klaviyo) Thank you so much in advance
