Gender segmentation on the pop up form

Hey there!If you are looking to collect this information in a step of the pop-up, you can drop in the Radio Button into your Form and where it it shows to select a profile property, you can create a new one to store that information in.Also just a note that Klaviyo has predictive analytics on Gender stored for users that you can filter from in a segment as well. It wouldn’t be 100% accurate as your radio button though where the user selects it themselves.

Hey there!The open filters in your segment are great to have but like you mentioned with the Apple Opens that can sometimes be a tad inflated.Typically for my Engaged segment, I’ll filter in OR conditions for their purchase history, browse, checkout, active on site - anything that hints at that user being ‘engaged’ with the brand plus the OR condition of if they have email opens/clicks.You could start at a small window for that - last 30 days then duplicate it, then changing it to 90, etc. So then you’ll have layers of engagement to test and send to. If you are worried about engagement levels, you can stick to emailing that smaller window and work your way up to the larger segments.

abandoned checkout flow - checkout link is not heading to checkout page!

Hey there! Best thing to do would be to check the data appearing for your customer’s when you click ‘Preview’ in the editor. There you will find a checkout URL variable that you can plug into your links that should work consistently for your Abandoned Checkout Flow.This article here shows how to find that data: https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002779071Typically I find that when that URL goes to the main page, it just isn’t the correct checkout url.

Is 1 conditional split all I need?

Thanks for the reply, regarding your recommendation on “ ‘opened an email in this flow Zero Times over all time.’”,  wouldn’t it be the same conditional split being “Has opened Email at least once over all time where Flow equals ‘Flow Name’”? Exactly! That filter you listed would be the exact phrasing

Is 1 conditional split all I need?

Hey there!If I’m understanding your use-case correctly - yes you would need that conditional split after each delay/before each email sends to see if they interacted with the messages yet. Or if you wanted to keep this a bit cleaner, you could create your flow to only have your not opened path of emails with a flow filter applied on the trigger that they ‘opened an email in this flow Zero Times over all time.’And then you create a segment that populates contacts when someone opens any email in that flow.That segment then triggers a brand new flow (triggered once someone join that new segment you created!) and then they get the opened path of emails you wanted them to get!Hopefully that makes sense, let me know if you have any questions!

Klaviyo + Shopify profiles

Hey @smileyrox! With the Shopify sync, you do get the ‘Accepts Marketing’ profile property flowing over from Shopify. You can run a segment that filters - ‘Properties About Someone’ - Accepts Marketing = FALSE. That’ll be all of your contacts that did not consent to marketing via checkout. I’d add in another AND statement that they also did not subscribe to a list to make sure you don’t segment in those who did opt-in via your sign-up forms.That segment is then able to be excluded from Campaigns. But if you did want to suppress them all fully until they organically Subscribe - you can export this segment and then upload the CSV into the suppressed profile area to bulk suppress them.

Pre-filling a Trusted Shops review link with customer information

Hey @Jelena -This type of pre-filled link will rely heavily on the data that is in your flow trigger. If your metric trigger for the flow is ‘Placed Order’, you just need to swap out some of your variable language to match what data your website is passing over.It can get it a bit complicated but your link may end up looking more like this - https://www.trustedshops.com/reviews/evaluate?shop_id=ADDTHETRUSTEDSHOPSIDHEREFOROURSTORE&buyerEmail={{ email|default:"" }}&shopOrderID={{ event.extra.order_number|default:'' }}But you need to swap out ‘ADDTHETRUSTEDSHOPSID’ filler with your actual trusted ShopID.This may take some testing but your flow data will feed the order number if you have the right metric as the trigger! And then those parameters will pre-fill and feed it over to the landing page link.

I want to use a contact form to add a metric to Klaviyo

Hey @TiagoAtHTM!The easiest way would be to edit your button settings in the Klaviyo form to pre-fill in a hidden property once submitted!This is controlled in your button settings of the form (example below) - Then in your flow, you’ll add a flow filter that is filtering properties about someone - your hidden field name - is not XYZ (or is NOT set).Once someone has that field filled in or matches your filter exactly, they will then fail the filter and skip the rest of the messages in the flow.Let me know if you have any questions on that!

Making a sign-up page

Hey Grace!You can’t quite make a dedicated landing page itself but what you can do is make an embedded form that is placed on a dedicated page of your site where you can then send those contacts to. Or you can also send them to the preferences page of your Klaviyo List to sign-up but you’ll have a lot more flexibility in design with keeping in on-brand by placing a form directly on your site. https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006897412

Hey @Sumaya!On your preview screen, you should see a list of those variables where the price variable may be slightly different.Maybe give this a try:{% currency_format item.line_price|floatformat:2 %}It uses item.line_price as the variable.

Added to cart event is not working properly

Hey there!Did your shop theme go through any updates recently? Hey there!If you head to your Media section - https://www.klaviyo.com/asset-library/images You’ll be able to upload that image you plan to use and then when you click the image, it’ll produce a hyperlink. That hyperlink can then be plugged in the area you screenshot.

How do I make a flow for subsribers, there has not placed an order yet?

Hey there!You can make a Segment Triggered flow for this. Something like this segment: Or if you want ALL subscribers who haven’t ordered after 3 months of being added to your account:And then when you go to create your flow, you’ll select that segment from the drop-down after clicking Segment as your starting trigger!Then anyone who meets the conditions in your segment will enter the flow you create.

Understanding Flow Trigger Preview and Recent Profiles

Hey there!In the Preview, you’ll always see the 10 most recent profiles who triggered your flows trigger metric, like Placed Order for example. Even if they don’t meet your flow filters, you’d see them in the preview line-up because they did the starting trigger action. With seeing all marked as qualify, it may just shake out that way where they would actually all meet it and so far nobody has! So for your other flow that you don’t see your profile in - is the trigger the same Metric or different? You may need to actively trigger that 2nd flows Metric to appear in the profile preview. Or if you have a lot of data coming - you may have been in the preview line-up but potentially pushed down the line with other users triggering that metric. You can also keep your flow in manual for a bit if you want to do some more day-to-day testing to see how your contacts trickle in!

I could be wrong but give this one a try -{% update_property_link 'newdesign_earlyaccess' 'true' 'https://mysite.com' %} It worked on my end when used without errors. Basically your ‘ need to be a ' in simple terms!

Why is a profile going through my 'Add to Cart' flow multiple times in a row?

Hey there!If I’m understanding correctly - it’ll be a flow filter that is missing.You’ll want to add in ‘Has not been in this flow in X days’. That’ll keep those contacts from re-entering multiple times! The main thing with the Add to Cart event is that it is triggering every single button click they do when adding to cart. So if a customer added six items, it’ll fire off six times, and they’ll enter into the flow six times! So having that flow filter in your flow will help to only have it trigger the first time they Add to Cart within the timeframe you set.

Segment not clearing

Hey there!Once you upload that segment into your Suppression Profiles area, they will now meet the conditions of ‘is suppressed’, which you could then edit your current Unengaged Segment to include ‘is NOT suppressed’ to then only filter in Unengaged contacts who have yet to be suppressed.For best practice, it depends!  You could clean it once a month OR you could leave them as active in your Klaviyo and just make sure to apply them as an exclusion to your campaign emails. That way if someone from your unengaged does ‘re-engaged’ (maybe by purchasing) they won’t be suppressed and can then re-enter your engaged segments.Hope that helps, lots of layers to it! Flow is not progressing past conditional split

Hey @kmaleki!When you click your email below the split, can you select ‘View All Analytics’ Does it also showcase the same volume of recipients as your flow says? The Recipient Activity Tab on that report will also break down how many got caught in Smart Sending, queued up, or skipped! That deeper report may shed some light on if contacts are or are not being emailed the message.

Abandoned Cart Shopify 404 error page

Hey @Nadine12345!When you go to preview your email in the builder to see it filled in with actual customer data - how does that link look when inserted?I have a feeling it may be that you don’t even need ‘https://mybebethelabel.com.au/cart’ in your link. Typically {{ event.extra.checkout_url}} will have the entire link pre-filled in it. So cutting that first could work!Or you may just need a / after cart - https://mybebethelabel.com.au/cart/{{ event.extra.checkout_url}}But the easiest way would be to preview the email with a customer’s data, see how the link appears and what may be missing or even added onto it that isn’t needed!

How to create a confirmation page for Mother's Day opt-outs

Hey @duyen1616 for the example like this where the user is clicking the email button to opt-out and is re-directed to a page. If you use Shopify, the opt-out confirmation page could be a simple page created in the pages section. It could just have a title at the top referencing that they are opt-ed out of that type of communications.Here is an example:

About Segmenting Your Triggers For Flows

Hey there @Mayabyanymeans!There are a couple of layers here! If it is an abandoned cart flow, you could make these follow-up emails either dynamic (where the item they have in cart is dynamically inserted into the email) OR you could do a trigger filter to check the item name if you wanted a really targeted follow-up series of emails on a single product. In your question, you mentioned view history though - do you currently have the ‘Viewed Product’ metric coming into your Klaviyo account? If so, in your flow you can put in a conditional split and place in filter conditions like this:It could then check if someone has never viewed product #1 - if Yes (never viewed it), then they can get the follow-up you’d like to have for your 1st featured product.But the safest way would be option 1 where you are dynamically inserting the product they abandoned! Decreasing click rates

Hey @abigailsheppard! I wouldn’t say that I’m seeing a trend of decreased CTRs across my client’s accounts. Emailing your engaged segment is a great way to make sure you are targeting an audience who is most likely to continue to engage but email design is going to play a huge part in your Click-Rates.
