Engagement and Open Rate Errors

If open rates can no longer be relied upon due to iOs privacy etc should we use OR to decide which profile should remain in our active list. Also how much emphasis is Klaviyos engagement calulation placing upon the OR. Thanks and Merry Xmas Sean

Trouble importing a list and understanding profiles in my account

Hi, I am completely new here 😀 A marketing company we were paying for to do Klayvio have left me stranded with a messed up account. I don’t have a clue really what I am doing and because the set up stage has been done by someone else which seems a mess, it seems so confusing to me. I have watched videos, but none of them seem to show the issues I have. If I could start it from scratch I would, but we already have some contacts in there now.Question 1I logged in yesterday to have a look and try and upload a csv file from another marketing platform we have, with no joy. I have checked the date and everything of the file but it still fails. The list had the customer email, first name, last name and date consented only, so I am not sure what I am doing wrong.Question 2When I logged in is showing me we have 2540 counts under profiles, not in any list, however, today the profile count is the same but I cannot view any emails now. Has anyone else had this issue of them not showing? Question

Create segment by $source from subscribe link

Ultimately, I want to place a subscribe link in my Instagram stories, and then those customers who sign up to our main list via that link are segmented by having signed up via IG.I have read through multiple community & support articles but none seem to directly address my situation.It seems that the best way to do this is to create a segment by $source. ($source would be IG Stories.)I know I can create a link to the subscribe page, which can be placed on an IG story. However, the $source associated with these signups will just be the Subscribe Page, and isn’t specifically indicating the customers came from IG. Setup a 2-way sync between Shopify metafields or tags

Hello, Looking to keep all customer data in one place. Since there are so many apps that sync with Shopify, it makes sense to keep the customer data in Shopify. The idea is to use Tags or use Shopify Customer Metafields to house First-party and Zero-party data, etc… Here is where I am at in my understanding of these 2 options to keep everything synced.TAGS: Klaviyo pulls in Shopify tags, but if you are using Klaviyo forms to capture customer data, the data becomes silo’d in Klaviyo, and does not get passed back into Shopify. METAFIELDS: Do not sync out of the box in either direction.  Has anyone setup something similar and found solutions for this use case?

Feature Request - Bulk Upload Email Addresses for List Suppressions

We currently manage our subscriptions using lists which matches our ERP (backend) application.We continuously clean our lists as much as once per fortnight, and its usually (consistently) around five lists.Out largest one, on average, has 25 suppressions. This means for this list alone, we’re copy/pasting 25 email addresses (times) to add them.Multiplied by 5.While this doesn’t really take a long time, it can get a bit tedious. And distractions could cause us to miss an email address, which means we could violate anti-spam legislation (New Zealand) if a customer complained (unlikely to happen, but hey, human error).Long story short, I was wondering if you had in your roadmap, or if you could add to your roadmap, a feature where email addresses could be bulk uploaded to list suppressions (like you can for suppressed profiles).FYI - the reason we don’t bulk upload to suppressed profiles is because a customer can choose to be on one or more lists, so if he/she decides to unsubscribed from

List Cleaning For Mixed List Type (SMS & Email)

So I’m hoping I explain this right--We had legacy SMS subscribers in a list (with opt in dates when we migrated from SMS Bump).  We imported those into a list we called ‘Legacy.’  This was over 6 months ago.Since that point, we’ve done regular list cleanings on our account, have the usual attrition etc, profiles have done merging in Klaviyo as people checkout, etc…. now we have a lot of people mixed into in this Legacy list:Group A - Consented for SMS & EmailGroup B -Consented for Email and not SMSGroup C - Consented for SMS and not EmailI really want the Legacy SMS lists to JUST have the SMS consented folks (Group A & Group C) and move the Group B folks into their own list.I’m thinking I need to create a segment that pulls my Group B people, and make that it’s own list.  But then how do I best REMOVE them from the original Legacy list?Is there an automated way to get them OUT of the Legacy list, or do I have to create another segment capturing Group A and C, and convert that t

Segment conditions pulling wrong customers

Hi, we’re trying to create a segment based on customers that seem to be part of a company. So their email address is likely to end in @companyname.co.uk. To do this we started a segment like this:Properties about someoneEmail doesn’t end with gmail.com Type textOrEmail doesn’t end with hotmail.com Type text(and so on...)This is working for most of them. I’ve asked it to remove the @gmail addresses and it seems to have worked.  The problem is I’m putting certain ESP’s into this list yet they are still pulling those profiles into the segment. Example,  I’ve put “doesn’t end with” @aol.co.uk (which I can see a customer has that address) - yet that customer is still showing up in the segment. The conditions are all identical and are definitely in the ‘OR’ properties (rather than ‘AND’).Can anyone help?

Enrich profiles by click behavior

Hi! At the moment I do not have a lot of data from my customers, so what I wanted to do is the following: update customer profiles based on clicking behavior. If I send two types of emails, for example: product based and information based and a person clicks trough 6 out of 10 times on a product mail, I want to classify this person as “interested in products”.  Does anyone know how to do this? Looking forward to any possibility! Best,Krizia

I have several long csv files with customers emails loaded in there, if I import them I see several fields unmapped, is it safe to remove it? Id love to keep them but idk how to handle it.

Collecting Customer Interest In Specific Product Category

Hello,I run a WooCommerce store that specializes in one-of-a-kind products. We have 100+ different product categories.I would like to do the following:Insert a Klaviyo signup form at the bottom of each WooCommerce product category page, and tell the customer “Sign up to get notified when we add new products to the is category”. When a customer uses this form, Klaviyo knows which product category page they expressed interest in. Each time we upload a batch of new products, have the ability to manually create a new campaign in Klaviyo and send it to the above customers that expressed interest in this product category. Give customers the ability to modify the categories that they want to be notified about via checkboxes on the Klaviyo manage preferences page. I’m unsure of the best way to accomplish this. Why am I getting an error when I update my property links?

I’m trying to use property links to create segments in emails.  I created a segment: properties about someone -- Shopping for --  equals -- baby -- text  I then used the below link in an email: {% update_property_link 'Shopping for' ‘baby’ 'https://www.giggle.com/collections/baby-1’ %} And I keep getting the below error message. Mailchimp integration & 30 day engaged segment

Hi there,I’ve just moved over to Klaviyo from Mailchimp. When I created my newsletter list, I just uploaded a CSV file of my existing subscribers, which just included their first name, surname and email address. I didn’t realise at the time that there was a Mailchimp integration option.I have since created my 30, 60 and 90 day engaged segments but all my contacts are in each segment - I assume because they’ve just been added in the last 15 days? So, to try and solve the problem, I then realised that there was a Mailchimp integration option and I’ve added that using the API from Mailchimp. But how do the contacts in my newsletter list get updated as nothing seems to have changed?I thought they might be automatically updated to show klaviyo when they last opened emails etc or is this not possible? I thought the 30, 60, 90 day engaged lists would now be updated and show different numbers? Can anyone help?I just want to make sure I’ve done everything correctly - or should I just delete the

Sending an email to one person (its not working)

Hi there,I am wanting to send an email to one person on my database through Klaviyo.I have followed all the steps found here: https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005246328-How-to-Email-a-Single-Person-Using-KlaviyoFor some reason I cannot send the email - I edit and get it all ready but it only allows me to ‘save’ the email and not actually send. When I save it, the email is put in the ‘Scheduled’ section of the persons profile messages. From here, I am not able to delete or send or schedule the message? Its driving me crazy, please help!

Hi, I would like to add a custom field in the profile of each customer that purchase.For example, if he buys a top then categorize this customer with a custom field that says "top".If he buys a legging, then categorize this customer with a custom field that classify as come from “legging” colecction. Same for sizes. If he buys a XS, then a custom field that categorize this customer with a custom field that says XS. I use shopify plus.

Shopify Not Integrating - Why isn't Double Opt-In Adding to List?

 I have brand new Shopify store that is set to launch in a couple of weeks and I am really struggling with the Klaviyo integration. I have been following the step by step onboarding checklist and have been stuck in Phase 1 all week. I'm ready to pull my  hair out!I've successfully completed the integration but things seem to only be working intermittently or not at all. I am using the Impulse them on my store and have added the necessary code to the liquid files for my pop up and footer newsletter subscription (part of the theme). I also have double opt in enabled on the Shopify side. When I subscribe to the newsletter in either location with my wagandwonder domain email addresses everything seems to process correctly for the most part. The only issue here is that I get 2 confirmation emails, one from Shopify and one from Klaviyo. When I accept both of these, the profile is successfully added in Klaviyo and the users also appear under the newsletter list. When I disable double opt in o

Zapier + Clickfunnels

Hello there, I have connceted my Clickfunnel option page to my FREE account Klaviyo account using Zapier. The Zap is set correctly but I can’t see the subscribers to be added to the list. So is this because of a FREE Klaviyo account? Any advices appreciated. Thanks,Danial

Assign scores based on actions

I wanted to know if it is possible to assign a score to the user during the process of a flow. This process would serve me to segment the hottest users versus the coldest ones, in order to swgment them and offer them purchase offers. I would also like to know if this score, once the segment has been created and set as the initial trigger of a new flow, will allow me to send new emails.

Where to Find the Subscribe and Preferences pages under Lists & Segments

Hello,I’m trying to provide a Subscribe form that I can share on social media and would like to just send them a form.  The Help Center shows that this is found in Lists & Segments > Preferences:  However, on my account, Preference Pages is further down under my Sign Up Forms area.  I only have the Manage Preferences and Unsubscribe areas...not the Subscribe.  How can I get the Subscribe area?  Additionally, will that generate a link that can be shared with customers and/or added to my campaigns?

Why does Mailchimp integration sync subscribers as "Accept Marketing" = False?

Hi there,We moved our Mailchimp account to Klaviyo and started the integration. It works perfectly, except about 50% of the subscribers (double opt-in) from Mailchimp are imported to Klaviyo with column “Accepts Marketing” = false. Did anybody have that problem before?Best Flo

Customer Survey information into Klaviyo Profile

I created a google form survey for my customers for preferences and whatnot, and THEN realized I should have done it in klaviyo and had them up date their own information.  I have found the information on how to set this up but everything I read is so foreign to me.  Is there someone that could help me set this up for a fee? I’m fine with manually setting up the information i already have but it would be really nice if I could capture this automatically. My Google Survey

Shopify Integration

I had “integrated” Klaviyo with my Shopify, and also setup the link between Klaviyo and VITAL. However, I notice the customer who subcript thru the VITAL, the information doen’t show up in Klaviyo. Hope someone can help me….
