How to manage Subscription Preference inputs?

Hello all, Giving customers options to choose their preference vs unsubscribe totally is great! But how do I set this up?  When a customer choses a distribution preference, how can I get him assigned in a new/corresponding segment so I am able to manage him differently than the core list or the unsubscribed list?Example: I set up the following preference form: How do I create a new segment for the ones who chose bi-weekly or sales only vs unsubscribe?Thank you for your feedbackPhil

Adding an acquisition into an existing accout

Hi there,We have an existing account and our company (we’ll call it domain A) has acquired a content creator (domain B) in a related field. We want to start a newsletter for Domain B within our existing account, and I have some questions in order to make sure we get this set up correctly from the beginning. First some background:The newsletter will link to articles published on Domain B’s website The newsletter will occasionally feature Shopify product feeds from Domain A’s website We’ll need subscribe forms on Domain A’s website Eventually, Domain B will be completely absorbed by Domain A and no longer exist as a separate website Domain B does not currently have a newsletter or even an email listThe questions:Can we set up the new list for Domain B’s newsletter in Domain A’s account and use a ‘From’ address like DomainB@DomainA.com? How can I segment Current Paid subscription users from Current Free trial users [ReCharge x Klaviyo]

Hi everyone, Can you help me identify the definition I should be using when segmenting the CURRENT PAID USERS from FREE TRIAL users of our brand. I already segmented those who are currently in free trial. But the metric I use [ 'rc_active_subscriber ] appears true to both users, either PAID or FREE trial users. So, how can I create a segment of those on PAID SUBSCRIPTION only [ EXCLUDING the FREE TRIAL users] Thanks,

Segment based on repeated orders of a particular product

Hey alltogether,I want to have a segment thats fit the following conditions:repeated customer ordered defined product more then once several times in his lifetimeI struggle with 3.My segment contains customers who placed orders at least 2 times. And it includes the customers who ordered the defined product 2 or more times in one order. My Segment should only contain customers who ordered a defined product at least two times in different orders (can be same day but usually longer time span within the next order.)I think i miss something but i can’t get around it. Any help, hint, workaround would be appreciated.:)BR Frank

Will creating the same property duplicate it, or just update?

Hi! I have a flow in which all my new subs go. At the beginning of this flow, I create a property about the user called:In X Flow → True There were already subscribers going through the flow before I did that. I’m pretty sure this property does not apply retroactively to those who already went past the entry point and deeper into the flow.  What’s the best way to add this property to those in the flow already? If I add a property update block at the last email fo the flow like this:Create a property:In X Flow → True What will happen to those who already have this property? If I instead do this:Update existing property:In X Flow → True If that property doesn’t exist in someones profile, it simply won’t do anything, right?  Additional question.If a user has a boolean property, let’s say:In X flow → TrueDoes this mean that a user that does not have this property is automatically False?In X Flow → False

How do i see ALL my profiles ?

Hi there,i have worked my way threw the Klaviyo Help Center and definetely learned a lot. What i still can’t find, either in the Help Center nor here in Community forum, is actually on how to view ALL my contacts in the profiles tab.I read that you can only see the recent 50 profiles but i would like to actually scroll threw ALL of my profiles.I use Klaviyo threw the Shopify Integration.Maybe someone can help me out here. Deleting suppressed profiles, profiles still counting against me

I didn’t do my homework and have been deleting suppressed profiles mistakenly thinking those were individuals that didn’t want to receive my emails so why keep them on my list. However, even deleted, those profiles are still counting against me as active profiles and being billed for a lot more profiles than I actually have. How can I permanently delete these now non-existent profiles so my account and stats track against my true number of active profiles? Thank you!

How do I trigger a flow based on a shopify customer tag?

Hello, I am trying to trigger a flow based on a customer shopify tag.  Customers with this specific tag are not in a list or segment. Is there a way I can do this or do I need to add the customers with that tag in a specific list or segment? Shopify newsletter signup form not adding to klaviyo list

I’m using Shopify Dawn theme and inserting a section with email signup, but when I use it the email is only added to Klaviyos contact list, and I can’t get it into the newsletter list.I’ve also tried to create a signup form through Klaviyo and added the embed code to my newsletter page in a custom liquid sectoion, but nothing shows up, it’s just blank.Shopify is in my Klaviyo integrations and vice versa.

How can I Adding Contact to Segments?

Hello,I had the article about Lists & Segments several times but still don’t understand how segments work. Can someone help me with the following questions?My sign up form has two options: Boys and Girls. Depending on what people select, their profile goes to the corresponding segment (Boys, Girls). Is this correct? There is also a Newsletter list which I never understand where the profiles come from. How do profiles get added to this list? Will there be duplicate profiles? For example, is it possible for someone to be in both a segment and list? I have existing subscriber list from Mailchimp that needs to be added. It looks like I can only add them to the newsletter list not segments. Why?Thanks!

I’d like to track activity from different signup methods and I want the source properties to be very clear and straightforward in the List Growth report. Viewed Product Shows in Activity but NOT in Segment

Greetings, We are seeing “Viewed Product” tracked in the activity log, complete with URL, ProductID, Name, and so on. However, when creating a segment to try to isolate users who have viewed a specific product, the segment returns null. I am able to find a user (or group of users) who fit the parameters in the activity feed, but the segment does not include them. Segment setup is super simple:  Any ideas?

Should I add a custom property for different currency profiles?

Hi everyone, I have a bilingual store (french/english) and I sell in Canada and US. I have a shopify store and my currency is USD. I think that’s why all my flows take for granted that people will pay in USD no matter where they come from. I think that’s a problem for me because, as an example, when my email subscribers receive a message, they see the USD price. I don’t want that for my Canadian customers. Maybe that is not happening and Klaviyo is a beast and understand, but I want to be sure. So, should I do something or it’s already being take care of automatically?

How Do I get my disappeared segments back?

Unfortunately my segments have disappeared and are not in archived!! Can you put them back or are the gone. I made then for every state in Australia. I don’t understand how they can just disappear! Is there any other way of recovery or I have to make them all again?  Bev PS one more question the pop out subscribers list is not meant to come out until the person is leaving the page  it comes out as soon as the page is loaded? What do you recommend to do about this? PSS my customers are getting an you left something it your cart after they have purchased something? Ive looked at my flow but don’t understand why this is happening, its terrible for my customers? I will wait your reply 😊

How do I view profiles of a list by "date added"?

How do I view/sort profiles of a list by "date added"? I would like to be able to view the profiles in a list by the day / week / month they were added to that list. This is where I get stuck:List & Segments > List I can see there’s an “added” column, but I have a big list and it’s not useful to scroll through the entire list and mark down which month the profiles belong to. But how about when I go into “List Growth”? Yeah… No luck, either…List & Segments > List > List GrowthThis does not show me the individual profiles, but only how many there are in a given month.I think it makes more sense to add a filter function to the list so people don’t have to flip back and forth to cross check. It’s just too many steps. Is there a way around this? Any suggestions, advice would be appreciated.Thanks,Charlie

Automatically include account user as recipient on all campaigns

I didn’t see this in any settings, but is there a way to always include either a specific email address or account user/role in receiving all campaign sends? I know I could ensure they’re manually included but wondering if there is a more foolproof way.Thanks!

Move subscribers from list to another list after preference update (or delete from one)

As many others have asked, I want to make sure this still is set as not resolved:We have 3 lists as this is the only way to serve them with the following mails in their own languages without creating hosted pages: ‘Confirm Your Email’ and ‘Manage Preferences’.Languages:English Swedish GermanIf a subscriber decides to change language with the ‘Manage Preferences’-page from German to English, we need to add them to the English list AND remove them from the German list.Otherwise, they would still get the German version of our ‘Manage Preference’.→ With Zapier we can add them to a list but as I recall it’s not possible to also remove them from a list.Does any have a workaround or a solution that doesn’t involve hosted pages? Using segments in any way doesn’t resolve this issue as it only relates to which ‘Manage Preferences’-version (language{english|swedish|german}) they will go to when they click at {% manage_preferences %}. Bonus info: we have a language property on all our subscribers.

how to clone / duplicate LIST settings?

When I create a new list, is it possible to clone the settings and formatting from another list?It seems crazy there's no easy way to keep colors and font choices and other customizations when creating a new list. It would be super helpful to have this instead of having to customize every list from scratch with our brand colors and voice etc.

Black Friday Sale Emails

Hi - I am scheduling our sale emails that will go out over the weekend. I would like to exclude those people who will of purchased during the sale…. For example if they purchase Friday, they won’t get Saturday’s email etc…Is this exclusion list something I can pre schedule or will I need to do it just before I send the emails so I don’t include those people who have purchased during the sale?

Opt-Out Of Campaigns - Without Landing Page

Hi, I’m trying to set up an option to opt-out of future campaigns (e.g. Mother’s Day). This guide below”  is really helpful, but unless get these properties from a sign-up form (which would exclude existing customers), it looks like I have to create a landing page.   Is there a way to get subscribers to opt-out of upcoming campaigns without having to direct them to a landing page? Thanks so much.

We will be renaming our company and changing our url and domain name in a few weeks. Since my email list subscribed knowing the brand as is, can I still email them under this new url/domain without asking their permission and or having them to re sign up to my mailing list?

Best Practice: How many lists?

Just starting out and want to do this cleanly…How many  Lists should I have?One Youtuber suggested a list for Signup Forms, Newsletter and Checkout.Another article suggested just having one main Master list into which everything flows.  I like the idea of keeping it simple - one list.But does that cause trouble later? Like, if everybody is dumping into a Master list, how do I identify who came in from a Signup Form, and who came from a Checkout experience, etc?  What is best practice for a good, efficient workflow as things get more complex?
